wow, it kind of sad for ppl to misuse one kindness. Personally, I won't really lend anyone money online, unless they live a few blocks away from me and I know them ;) Hope you win those disputes.

I have borrowed and lent large amounts of money on here and never had any problems. You just need to use common sense and lend money to people you trust.

One guy gave me $120 no questions asked. I tried paying him back a few days later with extra money, and he said that he didn't want any extra money back.

I thought that was fairly nice :).

If you use common sense, you won't get burned. Be as paranoid as possible.

I would never lend money on here, no need to, you might as well just be giving away free money.

It depends, if a member that has been here since 04 asks for a spot of cash I might consider giving it to them, but new members are usually just scammers. Not all but some are!

I had a problem like this not long ago - I wrote off some of the money I was owed just because I was sick of pursuing it.
It's a shame that some honest and deserving cause might lose out because I'll definitely think twice before lending anyone cash in future.

It depends, I lent out money before and it was A-OK, depends on how well you know the person though! I wouldn't lend out $$ to someone I didn't know..

It's not about where do you lend money, who you lend is more important.

Only lend money on internet if you *really* trust the person. ;)
