    I have been using Host Gator for almost three years now. I have had very few problems and they were all dealt with quickly. I have other hosting accounts and have tried others in the past. HG is one of the best

    I used hostmonster and they shut my hosting down like 3-4 times for getting to much traffic.
    I used like 2% of the cpu on the server they had me on.....and then after the like 3rd time they shut me down, they deleted my account.

    Since I have went with Hostgator.......everything has been great!!
    They rock and roll!!
    Hostmonster has cost me allot of traffic that Im barly getting back!! :mad:

    Hostgator= Kicks A$$!! :D
    Hostmonster = Sucks A$$!! :mad:
    And thats the difference from the 2!!

    By the way I have the swamp plan and they allow me to use up to 20% of the cpu and I dont even begin to use 2-3%. &
    I get a ton of hits daily!!

    Anyway thats my 2cents, and its worth allot because it has cost me allot $$$$$

    I hope my lesson's from this, helps others........hostmonster would be ok if you get like 1 or 2 hits a day.....otherwise stay away from them.

    They suck A$$......
    Hostgator Rocks!!:cool:

    Hostgator wins hands down :) Their servers are top notch, they dont oversell and you can ask their support about anything.

    How do you know how much of the CPU resources you're using?

    Anyways, I'm a hostgator client, and love it...

    What is the downside to using shared hosting like HostGator? Has anyone ever had any problems in this area?

    25 domains on hostmonster, and I just ordered my second account with them. Even for blackhat, they are excellent.
    I know SOOO many people that have had (edit)hostGATOR accounts dropped for little-no reason.

    I have account at both Hostgator and Hostmonster. I feel both are good though I couldn't run some of the scripts at hostgator while I never had that problem with hostmonster.

    Hey.... you want to register a web hosting or a domain name??? If its domain name then try Yahoo domains... costs just $1.95 or netfirms just $4.95... And YES if you want web hosting then HOSTGATOR is the answer....
