hello all..i have signed up for widgetbucks and im about to start showing ads..i have a wide range of websites to choose from,so whats the best type of site in your opinion?Arcades?entertainment sites?or should i just throw some ads out there and see what sticks? Thanks
I would think the same ads that pay alot on any other site would be the ones you want. Hosting and insurance sound like ones that would pay. Loans and any other topic that pays well in adsense should pay good with them.
Bum, lol. I forgot you earn from this on a per click basis. If you had to sell products to get your earnings then I would have said it would have been best used on product type sites like price comparisons and things. But as you need clicks then it would probably work on others as well, but sure about arcades though, but if you don't try it then you would never know.
Some replies are correct and some aren't or from what I understand here. The ad's are not just chosen at random, they can be either chosen by you or you can set it up to be relevant to your site (but not recommended). Each category has a set price per click, from what my stats show the more expensive the product the higher the clicks worth (natural I guess). Don't be mislead by the Hoohuh about expected CPM as it doesn't coincide with your actual page impressions, the CPM is measured by how many times the Widget actually loads and this can be a slow process - I receive about 30% of impressions / compared to page views on my actual site, maybe beacuse the visitor closes page to soon or navigates to another page.
I have a blog with commercials, prints and photos. Not one buck from widgetbucks `till now. Adsense is doing well but no widgetbucks clicks.
After switching ad's a bit I am seeing better returns up to around %4+ ctr. So I will keep trying, my neiche is Wholesale Products. I'm optimising the site to load widgets faster and placing larger widgets in better places.
I have a technology blog, yet no clicks till date...this is what most people are reporting. Actually, their product items scroll so fast that people discard it altogether.
Possibly, however if you are using the 660 x 330 (probably all) you can simply glide over each object in list and it will display the object in question, I think that's pretty cool. Had a nice run early in the day, 7 clicks now from 280 Widget Impressions, Google (adsense) is showing 605 impressions for same page however. Yup I think the good HYPE is coming to a close and the Bad HYPE is starting to rise.
I was thinking that do you really require articles or content or text at all to show widgetbucks on your sites/blog???
can someone tell me why i have 0 ad impressions shown in my stats, but the site in question has had about 50 uniques today and about 70 since i put the ads on?
Yes you need content, the page can't be made for the sole purpose of the or for the widget, similar to made for adsense sites. Yup same dilema I have and I am currently facing, most likely the widget didn't load before the visitor left or navigated to another page, I suggest a Big Set of Boobies to distract the visitor while the page loads.
I didn't add boobies but I added some other Goodies to my site and pages to catch their eye and keep them surfing, I noticed in my stats the majority were leaving within 30 seconds - maybe I have to stop using the ad's "Free Porn" because they arrive and "There's no Bloody Porn here" and leave p!55ed off at me (just kidding). But I really did add some other relevant and interesting content, so far shuffling my widgets (to increase the load time) and more content has created a %100 rise in CTR and increased the longevity of the visitor.
