You're assuming there was an export two months ago, what evidence do you base this on? I, along with many others think there was no PR update.

As to your second point, there was a backlink update several months ago. Google are changing their algorithm (hence why they skipped the last PR export) so there is no guarantee what happened before will happen again...

Anyway I'm not going to get in to a debate with people on PR and when the next export may be!!!

my prove is my profile, my profile created on May and its now PR0 if you check any other profiles made on July or August they will show PR N/A

also rapidshare.com turn to PR6 and many more websites i had but my profile is the only thing that can show this now since its easy to show you 4-5 domains and just say that they where updated

    Check My Profile:

    http://www.digpagerank.com/index.php?url=http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=77709&dc=18

and check any other profile made in June- July

Yes a debate:) thats exactly what i was thinking:)

    Cheers

A webpage going from 'N/A' to PR0 does not necessarily mean a PR export has taken place.

However, maybe my last comment about no export taking place last update was probably a bit misleading .... There have been reports (like yours) where people state some websites PR had changed.

People have said this could be due to Google doing a partial PR export to test/tweak their new algorithm. So that could be one explaination.

a domain cannot go from n/a to PR0 without an update and you can check this, registered any domain name that was not used before( no history at all) the domain will be PR n/a and after an update will get the PR0

howevere i also want the update and i hope your right and i m wrong

Confirm.. its like they are waiting. First correction, then Toolbar Update.. But a lot of sites created juni, july 2007 got PR 0.

Edit: Someone even got their -1 penalize back.. they corrected it. He did not sell links. So they are working.

mine have remained the same (all lower PageRanks).

Like many others in this thread I pay more attention to the traffic and SERPs.

I have noticed that the amount of back links has dropped.

If we are not to expect a toolbar pr export, why then did Matt Cutts say on October 1st he did not expect the full update to occur for a few weeks and possibly longer?

People have experienced drops in pr for the past 2-3 weeks. This is most certainly part of the update. Google appears to be re-calibrating existing pr before assigning increases - which I would expect soon.

The pr drops are occuring on more then directories.

Everyone keeps talking about being penalized, and I just don't buy it. Even Alive Directory has the same pr it had a month + ago. Alive's penalty was a drop from the serps, and this was a selective penalty.

In the past, it was easy to achieve mid pr with fewer backlinks then it does today. The standards of achieving a higher pr have changed, and I'd bet that is what we will see as time goes on. And who is to say these pr drops are permanent? It's common for a sites pr to drop before an update occurs.

All of us, including myself, are just speculating. But having a site go from pr nr to pr 0 does not sound like an update to me. And I will tell you why...

About a month ago I moved a parked domain (pr 0) from a page that was blank, to a parking provider. IMMEDIATELY after the move, the domain name went to pr 1. Now did I just happen to move the domain right before a pr update? I doubt it. There are internal workings with pr that we will never learn about. But when an employee of Google gives a guesstimate on when pr is going to update, I'll believe him over anyone (including myself).

No all web sites lost PR - most porn web sites I usually visit increased PR

I don't think that the pr update has happened yet, none of my sites have different pr's.
