It's similar to other free 411 services, but it's run by Google so of course they do it a little better. I can't see any reason for someone to use the paid 411 service anymore.

I've been using it for quite some time now... comes in handy if you have a cell phone. Much better than paying at&t $2.00 for their 411 service.

I've been using it for awhile as well.

I only had one hiccup with it so far. I asked for Toys 'R Us in my town. It repeated Toys 'R Us then would keep transferring me to Babies 'R Us.

Also, as of now it's for businesses only whereas traditional 411 can get you people's phone numbers.

    Good service though.

Anyone else use the text messaging service where you text a business name and your city to "googl" or 46645, and they text back names, addresses, and phone numbers of matching businesses?

Always impressed by the innovative technology Google aspires to create, but as they say Smart phones have equally taken over that niche

I recently heard of Justdial, a 24x7 operator-assisted toll-free concierge service. I dialed 1800-500-0000 to try the service, and was amazed when a human voice answered my query within 60 seconds. Justdial really delivered what they promised.
