My AdSense Blog

Ok, how I can do this tastefully without making it look like I'm plugging my site? This might be hard.

Let's say I know this guy who has a blog about Google's AdSense. And well, his url name is similar to the following:

    adsensegoogle
    googleadsenseblog
    googleblogaboutadsense

*Phew* I did that without plugging my blog.

Anyway, someone spotted my url (from google groups... not an employee) and felt that my url might be a violation of some Google Branding.

Is this true? Should I change the name?

Prima facie yes, but it would be better if you can seek legal advice on this. If unsure, IMHO I would just give up the domain, cost for litigation suits would kill you. Safer to buy another domain and change to that. Maybe offer Google this domain name out of goodwill, you may get something back in return.

Interesting. Yeah I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. Of course I had no intentions of stealing their brand. But life happens. Better now than months down the road when my blog is *hopefully* established.

Wait, so "AdSense" can't be in the url or title? Am I understanding that right? If that's the case, I'll need to get another domain... again! LOL.

yes, that is exactly the case, so get another domain, the adsense people don't take any time and they ban accounts pretty quickly! so get a domain name that has got nothing to do with adsense or google or anything like that!
    cheers!

I own adsenseoffers.com and shortly after placing Adsense Ads on the site Google wrote me a nice letter threating to close my account if I did not cease & desist using the ads and remove the code from the URL with their brand.

They then disabled ad serving to the website ;)

Gotta love em and yes youre going to need a new URL

    try adcents

    adscents

    addsense

    adssense

    or such

    Peace!
