I've read in many blogs that adsense makes web sites look like they have nothing to offer. Besides I am not getting much revenue from it

    Cheers

Make it look like you have something to offer while having the ads.

why are you not getting much revenue from adsense, is it due to lack of traffic or due to low CPC?

This whole 'adsense-removing' depends on the traffic of your site. If your site is in a niche that has low paying keywords, than it's better to use affiliate marketing. If your site's traffic is low, it's no wonder your earnings from adsense are low.

Any advertising in a site without content, will give that impression to the visitors.
If your site is content rich and you work hard on making information relevant it won't matter what kind of ads you place over it.

    good luck

YES, I agree that embedding the adsense inside my sites actually make it more appealing and attractive information for users... value added indeed..:)
