    Hello all! :)

I am soon starting a new website -- It's going to be a big invest for me ($2000), and i predict it's only going to make about $40 a day. -- (which isnt bad really)

    Now, my question is...

    Do i:

    1. blog about this new site from the start... showing EVERYTHING i do.

    2. Make a "History of..." / a free ebook when done, explaining at the end.

    3. Not bother, knowbody will care, theres too many blogs/ebooks.

    ------------------

I'd really like to do No.1 -- as it will give me advice from people along the way, and it could help get the new site popular, with backlinks and support.

BUT -- this new site only really has 3 main competitors -- and if they see exactly the keywords im aiming for, even the domain name, they will easily be able to stop my site from even starting.

So, what advice would you give me??? :)

    Thanks so much.

    Hi cocoMonkey

Do not worry unduly. Blogging sounds good and viable.

This allows you to communicate with your readers and create some buzz.

That's sort of what I do...
I blog about problems or things I do involving servers, etc.

    I vote blog.

I'd go for the blog because you could get a good PR from it and then link to your website from there.

Or at least sell a few links each month on the blog.

I agree with a blog, but don't make it really formal. People like blogs because they are personal.

To get the kind of visitors you want, you have to blog all...of...the...freakin'...time.

Isn't your goal to make more than minimum wage, and work far fewer hours?

But maybe you like to blog anyway, and do it all the time?

    Go for it.
