Why does everybody say that? What happen to having a choice in whether or not you want to sell your company . Normally I wouldn't think that a company could buy another company without a concession. Or has Google become so big to the point where they can buy anything they want, with and without permission?

If the owner is smart, he'd decline the offer, then continue runing it, and watch it grow from there.

    As for Mahalo.com..:
I love the Mahalo design. I just wish they didn't rely on Google so heavily. Right now, there is no reason for me to choose it over going directly to the source, Google.

Because EVERYONE has a price and Google has deep deep pockets, so it would never get to the point of becoming a Google killer unless Google allowed it to.

Anyway, let this site get to the 2% market share of ask.com first and lets take it from there. ;)

Well, I'm glad the technology progression isn't being led by any of you, because we'd have everything bundled under one company. It's so silly to suggest that Google would just simply buy them, if they were to find some success in the market.......Um, everyone isn't like that. Incase you don't know, there are the select few that do actually want to continue building on what they have. It's sad to see that being said everytime a start-up with potential comes along.

The search seems to be powered by other search engines like Google, so how do you kill Google when you need its searches? I think I would rather go Google.

Nice the Hawaiian theme is interestin, at least someone is trying, google is great don't get me wrong but truly it really is pretty lame if you compare it to other services. The new ask.com is pretty impressive and useful, but and heres the but even though i know that ask.com is more interesting, and will return more useful information I still use google, why? cause its stuck in my brain to go there, my firefox search is set to google. I have to put in effort to switch.

Nice design but mahalo.com can't kill Google with using Google's gun.

As I said before I'm not expecting to see this site pose any real competition right now but who knows.......the near future maybe? Remember what happened when the Google guys went to Yahoo after they had found out how you could increase your search results with back linking? And Yahoo said no.

I will join the few who are wishing you well with your quest. Just bear in mid that you need three important handles to challenge Google
    1) technology - that will compete with Google's inteli-net
    2) strong $$$ backing - that will allow you to afford growth and market share acquisition
    3) Clear objective - to keep going even when everyone else doubts.

    Best wishes.

    Hello...

    I like it...:)

I think its very good BUT if its the google killer..
then why are you just using them as the main search?

why not make a blend off a few SEs results and pull only best results?

For you to beat them you must offer better searchs then they currently offer
and promote your product so that others start using it... never the less i bookmarked it

    thx

I think Google would definately try and buy mahalo if they saw it as a threat....
but while its a nice looking site...I think it will take a heck of a bigger revolution than this.....manually programmed results

the government would like it though.........hand controlled hand picked Serp results

no chance. but nice look to the site anyway

For any disbelievers....think how many search terms there are... and try searching this for example.
    or even this!

its great to see people trying new stuff though.
    Good luck with it

Looks interesting. Only problem is anything that isnt a top keyword turns back no results except 'heres what google say'.
