Hey guys, Is it possible to have your own banner linked to Google Pack and receive credit when people download through it?
I'm not sure thats completely true, it depends how you look at it. Normally, you are not allowed to bring attention to your ads, but referrals are different. Google do allow you to promote referrals. I used to use the referral buttons but didn't like them. So (after getting the idea from another thread here on DP) I created a dedicated Firefox page (which does have a Google button) and then created my own 728x90 Firefox banner. I place the banner wherever I would have have normally had a referral button, and the banner points to the firefox page. I'm not actually using the banner in place of a Google button, I just use the banner to link to the Firefox page.
