hello have look at http://greatpayperclick.blogspot.com .They have labelled google ads as Quick Links on the right side. This is wrong i think.
I am sure he will get warning but will not get banned. Its still sort of grey area what you can term adsense ads as.
not really grey since they only allow 2 things: sponsored links or advertisement. But I've seen much worse things, and done by quite famous sites, they're still there and the text is the same..
Mmmm. I clicked one and it was quite quick, so he's not really fibbing is he? I agree with jimkarter - not an immediate banning matter, but probably enough for a warning.
I don't recall exactly, but I'm going to guess within the last 6? months maybe. They don't list the two accepted headings anymore, they just say use things like "Sponsored Links" but not "Favorite Sites" Unfortunately, it made things much less certain. Wish Google would move towards the concrete in it's policies rather than to the muddy
thanks, I didn't know, or maybe I overlooked it last time I've checked. So in a way we could know describe the links more as a way to help out the webmaster rather than just saying they're ads. Something like "These ads help me maintain this site free:"
But is "Quick Links" really misleading? I don't think it is. The links will likely be very relevant to the page they are on, and the header is not inferring anything about the links. Its not like saying: "My Bookmarks" with google ads under it.
You guys should spend more time working on your own websites and less time judging others. Its not like he is stealing money from advertisers. Its just a caption. On top of that Adsense TOS have indeed been relaxed.
Well, by discussing things like this, maybe people are trying to find out what they can or cannot use on their own websites...the ones they are spending time working on.
I have seen many sites in violation and they are still running and getting paid. This blog right here is minor.
