Well Ie has been on the down side but the fact that its been longer than ff makes more used. Some thing that i like about Ie is that its much liter and FF takes much memory and as said earlier in this topic , FF some times gets on my nerves but still i like FF better than IE , but i have to use IE for site compatibility purposes. Regards, Ace.
I'm using both IE6 and FF. I tried out IE7 but didn't like it. I also tried Opera for a while and quite liked it.
Firefox FTW I sometimes use Opera though, i like it alot IE = Garbage, the only reason its on my computer is for browser testing my coding
I don't use IE 7 because it has too many bugs. I'm sticking to Firefox. I have IE 6 but use it only to check if my site runs fine with different browser.
Well maybe if you'd show some of those estimates your argument would have substance. Secondly the simple point that because IE came with Windows people automatically use it is nonsense. iTunes is not preloaded on any Windows system yet I can bet you that 80 percent of computer users who play music and have an mp3 player has iTunes. The basic thing about software companies. Whenever someone is in the lead all the anylists and critics like to jump on their back and tear them down. Look at what they do to iTunes. iTunes is one heck of a software and so is the iPod and yet if you listen to market annalists they act as if its dying (of course the iPhone proved them wrong). Same thing they do to Microsoft. And when Apple becomes the biggest (like they ever will) its the same thing that will happen to them. Basic fact of life. People generally do not like to see others prosper.
Its a question of preferrence. I prefer to download FF as soon as I reinstall Windows, because I know that it's more secure, fast, has addons, skins etc... Most of the people are too lazy to bother going and downloading it, thats why they stay with IE. It's the same with FlashGet or GetRight. They are super-easy to use, with lots of features, but many people prefer downloading with right click/save target as... Well, we are ordinary users. We are not software companies. We jump on the back and tear down these, that are hard to use. We don't do it for money interest or because they are competition, we just want this, that is best for us, and if it's free that's even better. Most of these analisist that say that iPod is dying are bribed by it's competition. And for Microsoft, it's not going to die soon, since there is no real competition for it. But I agree with you that people generally don't like other prosper, however they like it if they have some use of the prosperration of these others. BTW: Nothing personal, just discussing.
I'll dig them up. I don't regularly keep a list of random facts and figures and their sources for the sake of proving a point. That is because 80% of computer users also have an ipod! They are forced to use iTunes if they want to put music on the several hundred pounds of ipod they've just bought. iTunes is good and so is the ipod, but not nearly as good as Creative.
mainly firefox but for some reason my msn hotmail always opens in IE7 so I use it when this happens. If I'm going to open a browser it will never be ie* anything
IE7 I like, just because it is what comes with Windows and I like keeping installed programs to a minumum.
I agree with you on the point about Creative. About iTunes if iTunes was not so good they could have gotten a different media player.
