    Phew!
Thats an expensive one for me. Spending that amount on content and promotion will be a better thing instead of a PR9 link IMO but yea! a related link will definitely help you to boost the SERPs but it can take some time and thats an expensive one IMO

Yeap I think the same , ordering for one month is worthless , but in 3-6 month that link can increase your site's pr up to 7

If the site is listed on auction for buying text link i think google will penalize site and the link will not help your site.

If they say buy the link to increase page rank i would not buy one.

With Google discounting bought links more and more, it seems pretty silly to waste that kind of money on a link that probably won't do much to benefit you PR wise and traffic wise you could find ways to spend that 850 that are far more beneficial to you.

It wouldn't be a wise thing to do. With that much money you can market your site more efficiently. I would suggest you rather build links cheaper way. Probably 100/month or so will allow you hire somebody.

I would buy several PR7 links on different domains for half that amount. It is alot more beneficial not to mention cheaper.

This what how many PR backlinks I got in the last 7 days.. Hope I don't get penalised. This links are the pages themselves with the PR. And I have noticed a dramatic rise the serp and small increase in traffic...
    PR7 1
    PR5 6
    PR4 1
    PR3 13
    PR2 10
    PR1 2
So yes A PR9 link would help your site. But 850 dollars.. I wouldn't pay that, thats outragous.

besides there is lots of place to get PR backlinks for free.
    (freebie removed) haha

That was a little bit expensive;) , but do you really need that site
to put your link? And are you willing to pay for that?
