This stuff is so funny, because Al Queda is Sunni and Iran is Shia. If there is one particular kind of infidel they hate more than any other, it is the opposite.

IE. Shias hate Sunnis much more than Christians, and likewise Sunnis hate Shias more.

The sad thing is that some misguided soul will read this stuff, think this guy is an expert and fall into neoconservative marxism.

There are a lot of myths perpetuated on this forum regarding Muslims, Terists and Al Queda.

Once again, we're creating blowback and unintended consequences by threatening Iran, as they have reached out to Russia and have began strengthening their ties with the former Soviet Union. Vladimir Putin has offered to conduct uranium enrichment on Russia soil for the Iranians.

We need to stop being paranoid about Terists and come home. Normalize diplomatic relations wherever possible, initiate trade and start pressuring Israel and the Palestinians to reach some kind of peace. Make Condi Rice earn her keep.

We think we're the big bad tough guys of the world, but the reality is that right now, if China or Russia flexed their muscles, we would be too weak to hold our ground.

Agreed, The world is interdependent now. If US goes down, China would too and Europe. And vice-versa. Just think of how much goods are produced in China right now. If they stopped producing your nike shoes will be $300 instead of $100.

Iran has no aversion to working with Sunni's if it helps achieve their goals. Example they are supporting Hamas which are Sunni.

If there is truth to it, is it really spreading propaganda?

Yes, if its only exploiting partial truth. Look at it, its linking Iran for 9/11. It made it an assumption Iraq was linked to it now it says Iran. I don't know what you call it. If not propaganda, then half truth then? Iuno, either way its not good, its bias.

This is all they have to do now. If they want to go to war with someone just claim they were responsible for 9/11 and the gun polishing, flag waving imbeciles will support the war.

Of course that only works for a little while. Once some smart people start producing evidence that Iran couldn't possibly have been involved the right will say "what? We invaded to stop their nuclear program" and then when someone points out that they haven't even started a nuclear program the right will say "what? It was to remove a brutal dictator" and when someone points out that we have removed the dictator the right will say "what? We have to stay to stabilise the country".

All the while both sides will know that the only reason we invade these countries is to implement bases in the region that will facilitate our on going permanent presence in the middle east and to repress any opposition to American world domination.

Except they did start a nuclear program 20 years ago and are approaching finishing it and while they might not have been involved in 9-11 they have been know to provide a safe haven to Al Qeada, and they were involved in the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia killed 19 U.S. military.

It's all about pure greed. Wherever you see the profits, take full advantage of it. In Iraq, the only way they could make the public understand and at the same make the profits was to DIVIDE AND RULE - create disunity between the Sunnis and Shias. Before the invasion everything was fine, they needed to spark the violence and then enjoy the profits. They fooled the public and they will again and again until YOU the public start waking up.

And the US was responsible for backing Saddam Hussein against them with military aid, innocently or not, providing Saddam with the means to create chemical weapons he used against Iran.

And the US removed Mossadeqh (an elected leader) who nationalized the oil, to install a brutal dictator (The Shah of Iran) who was favorable to investment by oil corporations from the US and Britain.

Blowback. I'm relatively sure they did not mess with us first.

Really, peoples gotta stop dreaming that Iran hates American just because they are evil people or monsters. They are human people just like everyone else. There's a reason. And No the reason is not because America is a Superpower or because they are rich.

America has been messing around in the MiddleEast for a long time. For me details, read post above.

During the 1980s the US used Iraq as a counter weight to Iran as long as their were fighting and killing each other they weren't going to kill americans.

As for Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh. That situation is a bit more complicated then he nationalized Iran's oil and the CIA overthrow him, he did have allies with the communists and Islamist. He did seek the power to run the military which was the function controlled by the Shah. He did seek to have the Shah exiled and was largely successful in doing so. I don't know how else to say it but he was a power hunger, he wasn't a saint. Also After Iran nationalized the oil industry Britain put sanctions on them and removed the engineers from Iran which were very effective a since production fell dramatically and since Britain was the largest buyer of oil their sale of oil stopped, along with a failure of collective farming their economy was in shambles at that time. While the CIA may of lit the fire in Iran, the economic conditions set by Mossadegh policies lead to his ouster.

Right, and this sort of intervention creates blowback. Unintended consequences like 9/11.

Mosaddeq was democratically elected. The Shah had a secret police force that imprisoned, tortured and maimed people. Do you really think the people of Iran were pleased we relieved them of Mosaddeq and allowed the Shah to terrorize them?

This is total horsecrap. Mosaddeq was an incredibly popular and competent leader, he merely did not bend to the weight and power of American and British oil interests, such as BP.

Did you know that he was Time Magazine's Man of the Year in 1951?

    Great quote from Madeleine Albright,

There is a misunderstanding here ,
Muslims don't hate christians and sunnis don't hate shia and shia don't hate sunnis :)

For the Topic : Maybe the Bush goverment has been locked(doomed) for finding "mass destruction weapons" -
(There is a joke in my country , A man has been brought to the court , he had drived his truck into a market and killed a lot of people. The Judge asked why did you do this ?
    He answers:
    - My brakes was not working and I had only two chances on the right side there was a train , on the left side there was only one man , I had to crush one of them and decided to crush the man.
Judge: But you have crushed a lot of man
The Driver : He escaped and run into the market :) )

America has killed more people than a nuke has killed in the history and that nukes were used by America against Japan again.

If some people are so dumb as to believe the US government blew up the towers, then what's wrong people believing Iran blew up the towers or had a connection to it?

It makes about the same, if not more sense:D
