How long ago did you do the transfer.

Usually if the transfer is done within the same bank, it will be instant but if it is a transfer between different banks, it can take several days to complete depending on the agreement between the bank.

In a small country like Singapore where I am, a transfer between banks takes a minimum of 3 to 4 working days. I would suspect it is pretty much the same as in India.

Go back to your online banking website, it should indicate roughly how long the transfer should take.

Okay, I just went to the ICICI Bank website and found this

    http://www.icicibank.com/pfsuser/icicibank/online/ft/online_ft.htm

If its visa to visa transfer then it'll take 3-4 days. They deduct money instantly and giving credit after 3-4 days :(

There is a "Status Enquiry" button for inter-bank transfers (on ICICI Bank's site).

    What does that show?

Well, as far as I know, one of my transaction took upto 6 days.

    Expect it less than that.

Time frame is maximum of 24-48hrs on working days. Harsha Kiran, I can guide you if you can come online on YM. If you have not yet received it, please contact Customer Support Department. If you had told me about your requirement (bank transfer), I would have helped you. Know the contacts around you.

As said earlier, this also depends on the policies of receiver bank.
