    Hire this guy: http://searchengineland.com/071015-123004.php

Or find another "SEO Expert" or "Professional Link Builder" and have them list you. There may be a small fee involved, but that is NOT a bribe, nor is it favoritism.

Though, if you ask about it, you'll likely be told to simply read the guidelines yourself, and then submit your site according to those specifications (which does include hiring a link builder!). But keep in mind, editors do not need to look at the sites waiting in the queue. That forum and system is just there to make it look all fancy. (source)

    Submit & Forget
    Forget 2 Submit

(in many cases its the same thing)

Pay for entry and you are barred for life. If you want to listen to someone who is no longer an editor and only did 15 edits when he was, then listen to Q. There is no quick way, except chose the correct category, add a description that is not hype like "this is an amazing site" and don't try to stuff with keywords (editors like sites that have taken the trouble to find out how to write their wown description..and if in doubt look at those in the category youi are submitting to). Most of all make sure that you have unique content that adds to the category. Affiliates and deeplinks do get in but not often. Then it may take a while before an editor gets around to looking at it. No point in asking where it is you won't get told, but if its good it will be listed if not it will be rejected.

Then listen to the sources I gave. Go ahead and try using my ex-ed status against me. I used the DMOZ blog to back my claims up...that trumps someone posting Anonymously. :p

Besides, the guidelines of DMOZ say that's it's OK for a professional link builder to work for the them. Hiring one has to also be within the scope of those same guidelines. right? However, bribing an editor can get both both editor and site banned. It's up to the Meta community to decide where the line is drawn between paid listings and bribes.

Didn't you complain when I posted the same thing that you can get listed by paying for it? Are you going to admit that you were wrong?
On the positive side, it seems you are finally learning about DMOZ. :)

No, I won't claim I was wrong, but I will say I was not fully correct. It does seem that bribing to get your site in is still against the guidelines. But I will say that SEO work is just fine and dandy. Either way though, I think it could still be an iffy practice on the side of the non-editor/webmaster as the differences between bribe and SEO work does seem to be at the discretion of the powers that be.

So I can not stress enough, for people to NOT BRIBE their way in, rather find a professional link builder and let the listing happen 'naturally' ;)

When did I say to bribe? I said you can BUY a link as the result of a business transaction. They and you can call it what ever you want, it doesn't change the fact that a link in DMOZ is sold and bought. :)

I want to buy a website which is listed by DMOZ also. Short domain is preferred.
