We do site audit before we touch anything else. Which are site audit run at $1500 plus with cover numerous topics. Doing directory subs alone won't get you very far it takes a lot more then that to create a profitable website.

    Simple a audit

    http://www.dewittsmedia.com/pages/seo/seo-services.html

But quite honestly it depends on your skill level on what you can charge.

    take a look at this

    http://www.dewittsmedia.com/seo-blogs/seo/sem-pricing-models-how-should-you-price-seo/

But then again like i said depends on skills and experience. for example our prices our pretty low for our experience speaking I've helped clients achieve top rankings and were in the top 10 for website design and many other competitive keywords, so we can charge that, but if you have the skill set and you know what needs to be done then you can charge that.

The thing is a lot of people don't really have the whole concept of search and are still learning, and I'd have to say a big majority of people really never *grasp* the concepts. BTW I probably should rewrite that post I don't think i worded it like I should.

    -DMoz and similar
    -Article Submission
    -Lower authority directories

You can't run if you haven't learned the walk. Practically everything starts from the basis up to the roof.

The first thing you do before you launch your self into a business is what? You study the market and how profit you can have from that business and how easy you can beat the concurrence. The same applies to search engine optimization, the first thing you do is you do a keyword research, analyze those keywords that would bring you the most traffic, but first, analyze also how competitive is and how much work would it require to get the top position.

Once you are done with that analyze you have you pay attention to the on page optimization which is crucial and saves you loads of time (and money). Than you can move on with the third stage which would be the off page optimization, marketing and link building.

That's too funny, especially when you have a stack of fundamental SEO errors on your own site. Pages of Duplicate Descriptions, canonical issues, poorly SEO'd pages, titles etc.

I don't think you know what your talking about. Were in the top 5 for website design and many other competitive keyword well actually number 13 now due to a 301 redirect so things are leveling back out, we bring in around 1,000 plus a day on contextual advertising alone.

As far as the titles goes there is no duplicate titles, but yes every title starts off with DeWitt's Media the reason for that is branding to get people famaliar with the name across search engines anyone that is famaliar with SEO would know that for example take a look at

    http://www.google.com/search?q=site:blog.v7n.com&hl=en&start=170&sa=N

Now you see how the descriptions and titles are, which granted the descriptions could be approved, but tell me why the titles are like that for?

    *branding*

Your looking into things that are not as important, and your not paying attention to the stuff that is more important, so basically your over looking the concepts that have to due with 90 percent of your rankings.

The term "website design" isn't that great sorry, you should try "web design" the traffic is far better i've ranked a site on page one for both terms. Also i don't see you in #5 for the term, your showing up #22 for me on Google.com which ironically is the same position as i'm in for "SEO".

Your obviously targetting the term, you really need to optimize your homepage for it and get to page one.

I didn't say the Titles were duplicate, basically all your descriptions are however your Titles are poorly optimized.

lol NO the titles are like that because nobody has bothered to change the substandard Wordpress default titles. Any decent SEO will tell you Wordpress is severely lacking "out of the box" when it comes to SEO, and the page titles are one of the major let downs.

Um no, you have just thrown up Wordpress and have multiple issues with most key on-page SEO elements and want to charge $1,500 for a site "audit". Seriously you have uploaded Wordpress, a theme and switched on Permalinks.

Man.. i don't mean to jump on you, but i don't see how you can justify that money when you havn't even optimized your own site. If you want page one for website design, i "will" help you.

What sites did your rank for web design and website design?

BTW we don't need your help. I don't seen your site, but I have more productive things to do then "attack" someone over non sense, and yes I have not got a response to what sites your ranked for web design and website design not saying you haven't, but what sites were they?
