I just wonder if someone controls the nicks of the new members. Not talking about non sense names or that, but only names that are offensive to a lot of people like this one I found.

    ~~Hitler~~

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?find=lastposter&t=332353

I received from him (or someone that used the same nick) an offensive message a few weeks ago and didnt report it because he got no posts and I tought that the mods will ban him inmediately.

Now I see (if he is the same guy) is posting regulary and is not banned or have not change his nick...

If someone has already ask the same question about the same user, please mods delete this post.

    Thanks

Members can choose their nicknames at registration. You should report any spam you get instantly, the member will get 5 infraction points, and another spam will mean he/she will get 10 infractions points and a ban.

If they want to try to do business w/ names like that, more power to 'em!

They usually end up getting themselves banned anyway-

I've seen people register on here with the name F***DigitalPoint, and the likes. I don't think those are "acceptable" even though it isn't written out specifically in FAQ. (taking what inworx said as solid and not recombing through the FAQs myself)

so, I'd say NOPE, ya can't choose just any name. :)
