Fund Transfer to XOOM...

I transferred my Paypal fund to XOOM for a pick up method, and did it successfully once. The sender and the recipient name is the same, which is my name. I got the fund successfully and picked up in the bank.

But when I tried again for the second and third time, fund transfer went unsuccessfully and fund was refunded back. I was wondering what were the problems encountered so I emailed Xoom. Their reply was, TOS was violated. I don't know what specific in the TOS were violated.

Anyone encountered the same? Please help.

What I noticed through the transaction, successful fund transfer was in a little amount and the rest are refunded which are a little bit higher amount. Take a look at this.

    First fund transfer : $50 - successful
Second fund transfer: $500+ - unsuccessful (fund refunded)
Third fund transfer: $100 - unsuccessful (fund refunded)

Are you from India ? If so, you can use the check or bank deposit method and not the pick up method. I believe it is some SBI ruling.

Direct bank deposit works perfectly. It takes about three days for the amount to be deposited in the account and it's hassle free.

Let me correct you on this eddy. Its not SBI ruling but its RBI (Reserve Bank of India) guidelines.

India to India transfer through paypal only allowed using bank transfer or check delivery through courier (pick up now allowed as xoom says).

Just call them to their US Number and they will tell you why they have cancelled your transaction...

Thanks Deluxon :) I knew there was something wrong somewhere. I am not Indian but I recall something like that being mentioned.

No, I'm not from India. I'm from Philippines. I have contacted two times Xoom through email, but they repeatedly replied me the ff:

"Xoom guarantees a safe and secure money transfer service. With this in mind, our Customer Verification Team detected an issue which violates our Terms of Service, and has cancelled your transaction."

    Hmmm..

You will get same reply even if you email them 50 times. That\'s why I am telling you to call them on their US Number where you can talk directly with verification problem and they will give you the proper reason.

Well, Its better if you use check since that comes in view of RBI, if you use pick up, thats illegal as well and prohibited from RBI except few cases.

The OP did say he is not from India and from Philippines so the RBI regulation should not apply to him at all.

They have the new TOS. I am experiencing it right now and I wonder if what you have done that they have refunded your money back. They have the new TOS that we can only send to different country aside from our country I think.
