Today's Earnings: increased 4 x

Hello

On one of my sites i have google adsense adv. During last 2-5 months my average incoming is $Y ± 15% and CPM is $Z ± 20%.

Today "my earnings" is $Y x 5, and CPM is $Z x 4.

Also my traffic isn't increased, and i don't have any idea, why cpm increased 4 times.

what to do ?

1. send message to andsense staff and ask to investigate
2. don't send

???

any advice will be appreciated

Maybe you're displaying higher value ads? Did your CTR increase 4-5x? That's what I'd be worried about more than total earnings or CPM spikes.

 

Ya My earnings today were quite high. 8 click for $4.
I don't understand. the ads didn't change. oh well good day :-=)

 

My ePC and eCPM has been very high the last week or so, i think i even set a record for overall earnings on Monday.. my ePC is higher than i've ever seen it.

my advice: Enjoy it, because the higher it goes, the farther it drops a few days later!

 

My earning just dropped by 30% today. No idea why. Just changed the layout of one of my site but the CTR went up by 1.5% for that site.

 

Same here. I wonder where the spike is coming from.

 

Yeah noticed and enjoyed the spike for 3-4 days. Now everything seems to settle down.

Adsense glitch?

Your site seems have high paying advertiser.
Congrats, but I think that's not usually beacuse advertiser has limited budget

 

Maybe new advertiser place a high paying ads with excellent text and user are curios

 

That's good.

My earnings went down tremendously today because my CTR went down 50%. Guess it's not a good idea to have the ads standing out. Time to blend them back in.

but, if somebody put my ads on his site, in this case i'll notice traffic increase ? i don't check any change in traffic :-(

 

Probably its the widgetbucks effect..

 

I see my site also got the difference from previous earnings.

 

If the click rate didn’t go up, there is nothing to worry about. Just keep working on it. There would be a reason to worry only when the traffic stays on the same level as well as the click rate and visits would jump up suddenly.

 

It would be nice but I doubt it.

Do NOT contact Google. Keep doing the usual things and keep earning till it pays you well

Last time when my CTR and earnings increased a lot I was really happy till almost haven't got my account banned... I would contact G if that would be first time for "strange increase", who knows, maybe someone clking on your ads too often. Otherwise you'll just waste 1 min to write email and it's risk free I guess.
