    I let a "friend" use my rapidshare account and I stupidly used the same pass for every site. he's been posting as my "girlfriend". DO NOT TRUST ANYONE! luckily my paypal accoutn had a different pass. anyone had this type of thing happen to them?

    you just can't trust people with your own stuff these days. They always mess things up, you accidentally leave a pack of cigars at a friends house and next time you come oever you find out they smoked them all. Same with internet accounts...sad:D

    You guys missed the point of the thread. This guy was posing as a "girlfriend" (when in reality it was him trying to scam everyone for sympathy cash) trying to help her "boyfriend, the owner of the account" raise money for a medical bill.

    Yes, I'm patting myself on the back, but after reading this bogus post, which you can find here, I saw that they had made posts in the last 24 hours that didn't jive with the poorly written pity story they made up. After I called him out on it in that thread, it wasn't long after that he made a posts to the mods (this thread) that his account had been hacked. What a moron!

    That's why rob said, "did they also sneak into your bedroom and make the posts?" because as we all know, mods have the ability to check IP's of where the post was made. The dude got owned. Good job mods on the ban!

    So, in retrospect, I saved the DP community from getting scammed out of $225, which was the amount he was trying to "raise".

    Hope that made sense, it was a lot of fun seeing it all go down...lol

    sorry to hear that, but there are still many god hosting around. just keep looking and sure you will find one. Just dont forget to read the review of the service from other people and you also can check some good hosting from Hosting section in DP.
