Are there any problems buying expired domains related to your industry (but not your content specifically) and pointing them to your website? I'm using a 301 permanent redirect. I figure I can gain some benefit from those domains with an existing PageRank. Does a benefit exist? Thanks.
Huligan Good tactic here but to be honest all those domains will help people find a link back to your site it may help some " although you need to work on getting more back links rather than domains that you own unless they were actual web sites then yeah for sure thats props but really have you Started a niche blog on your products yet??
I am already doing the backlinks and blog (frequently updated content). I'm trying to take the extra step. And yes, these are expired domains for websites that once existed. Have you heard of anyone else doing this? If so, did they run into any problems?
so your using high pr expired domains correct" (I'm trying to take the extra step. And yes, these are expired domains for websites that once existed)
Huligan that could be a bad idea in general Google can banned your site out right watch where those domains are from they may have been black listed just a seo tip cheers" Googl has strict rules
Any suggestions on who I can gind out if a domain has been blacklisted? I'm limited in the information I can get about an expired domain. If I had to guess, I would think domains that hosted websites for years would not be blacklisted. Can a blacklisted site have a RageRank? I believe the answer is yes.
Huligan I like your worthiness but keep in mind Google will zap your site instantly for having all those expired domains"" it has happened to many" just a tip you can do as you please this is help forum so I'm just relaying an answer to your topic these are the bare facts my friend cheers"
I do this with expired Pagerank domains, however i don't redirect them to my domain. What i do is throw a simple site up on them, a couple of Adsense blocks for pocket money then place links to my primary domain. Doing this you can link to your internal pages, use the anchors you want plus earn a bit of revenue to pay for the Pagerank domain so the whole thing costs basically nothing. See the anchor text is more important then plain Pagerank, by redirecting the domain to yours you might be getting a ton of incoming anchor text that's not relevant and will only serve to distort your backlink profile.
sweetfunny thats a good tactic, nice lol" (What i do is throw a simple site up on them, a couple of Adsense blocks for pocket money then place links to my primary domain) is this an easy way to optimize those domains or for adsense??
Yes because you can utilize the domains theme plus existing backlinks and anchor text to create a site specifically targeting these exact phrases. So there's a higher chance to rank, receive traffic and in turn Adsense clicks. Another thing too, from your new site you can backlink a couple of your sites as well as their inner pages... Something you can't do by just forwarding the Pagerank domain to your own.
sweetfunny that's relevant and again good I have 68 domains that have pr I link them too higher pr websites and it seems to be doing its job. overall (sweetfunny) are you creating mini web sites or pages for expired domains??? and if you are what happens when someone buys that domain??
sweety funny what happends if some one decides to buy that extired domain you would loose the web site correct
