I decided to start a thread to explain everything about the company in one place. Feel free to join under my affiliate link and message me and I will be more then happy to help you get going.

    About

WidgetBucks comes to you from the folks at Mpire Corporation, the award-winning meta-shopping service. Mpire's extensive shopping data experience, including its proprietary contextual, analytics and relevancy algorithms, power WidgetBucks. Founded in 2005, Mpire is backed by Ignition Partners and former eBay executive and Pay Pal angel investor Richard Rock.

WidgetBucks features pay-per-click shopping widgets that help our customers make money fast. They instantly display the most popular products based on buying trends of 100 million shoppers. Thus they are highly engaging, which means instant dollars for our customers. Our widgets see $3-$6 CPM — pretty good compared to traditional ad networks that deliver less than $2 CPM

    Features + Benefits

    * Self-service, scalable and relevant content that's free and easy to publish
    * Dynamic, contextual widgets act as content (vs. ads) that more effectively targets your users, not the masses

    * Dynamic Ad Yield Management matches the best merchant for each product while offering consumers the best price
    * MerchSense (patent pending) contextual algorithm automatically targets the right products for your site

    * Extensive reporting tools and daily updates; Payouts are monthly
    * Complements existing programs, such as Google AdSense
    * Over 300 configurations, 256 color schemes and formatted for major IAB standard sizes

    * Manual configuration also available by category
    * Product listings from 30,000 merchants including trusted leading brands

    My Review

I like this site a lot so far. Very easy to use and only took me about 5 minutes to join and setup my account. They accept everyone, being from the US this was not a problem for me but some people have trouble getting into YPN and Adsense which makes this a great alternative. They update earnings every 72 hours but the stats are updated right away. The payout is $50 which is not too bad, easier then the $100 with Adsense but will take a little while for smaller sites. I suggest at least trying them for a week, you can run it with adsense so there is nothing to lose in terms of revenue from Google!

I'm trying them at the moment - I like the look of them, but either their tracking is still off, or people aren't clicking. I'll leave it on a few more days, hopefully it will improve.

I am trying them as well. But the CTR is pretty low.
So I am expecting little low eCPM.

Widget Bucks is not loading in FireFox. Though it is loading in IE. What can be the problem?

you "found" that article or you "wrote" that article...your referral code in your signature matches the one on the page...

Spaggiari - I think people appreciate it if you disclose if you actually wrote something, or are just passing on a link you liked. You'd get reads either way, but it's more honest to say 'I wrote this, hope you find it helpful' :)

I'm finally seeing some clicks at this end, pay isn't bad, it will take some time to see if it is better than adsense overall though.

Well, even if it is just on a blog, I think I would be more likely to click on a picture of a digital camera than google adsense or ysm, thats why I put it on my blog.

You can use it on a regular website too. Well it is not just a picture it is a has a rotation and shows the hottest items for that category. Works good for my site and it is not even directly related to the items I am using.

Join under me and I will tell you how I am getting 60 cents per click now!

I meant, that even if your blog isnt centered around a certain niche people would be more likely to click on a nice rotating banner than just a google text link. Or at least I would.

does anyone have a theory if this thing uses some kind of algorithm? I mean, is getting higher paying clicks solely an issue of picking a different category of products?

That is what my research suggests.

(and by research I mean I chose different categories from time to time and see how much the rpc is).
