For several days now I've been seeing an increasing number of clicks in my Adsense account that aren't coming from any of my channels. I'm very careful to put all my ads in channels to track which site is getting the clicks. I've sent two messages to Google Adsense support via their contact form and I've had no response from them as of yet. I even joined the Adsense Support Forum and posted my question there but still no help from Adsense support. While I've been dealing with this I stumbled upon the information I blogged about here.. Is Google AdSense a Joke ? The post is about a member on the support forum who is flaming everybody who asks a question and this person has an MFA site with altered Adsense links on it. I'm really frustrated right now because I have several hundred dollars in my Adsense earnings and I don't want to be banned because somebody sabotaged my account. I don't know how to contact Google because they will not respond. Has anybody else had this problem ?
Bless you, I've just added to your reputation but if you don't mind, can you please tellme exactly where I go in my Adsense account to find the "Allow any site to show ads for my account" or "Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account" switches.
It is under the "Adsense Setup" tab. or Just visit this link: https://www.google.com/adsense/publisher-whitelist-view
Glad I came across this thread. I had no idea there was even an "allowed sites" feature. That will definitely come in handy for later. So anyone can just take your code and do what they want with it? That is a scary though. be glad you found out about this feature or you might have lost out on a few hundred.
My thoughts exactly writingman1421. I never noticed the "allowed sites" link in my Adsense account before. I'm not sure if it's new but the JenSense blog link that sachin410 provided has me think this is a new feature of Adsense.
Wow, I am also very glad i checked this thread. During the last 2 days my adsense revenue increased to unnatural figures. Just now I added my allowed sites, hopefully everything will be ok :\
Great info!!! I didnt know it(allowed sites) was there. I just added my sites for only my adsense!! thanks everyone!! Good Stuff!!
Yeah, use that allowed sites feature, and you shouldn't worry anyways. I know MFAers that have been on the same account for 2 years. You should be fine.
Few months? Google introduced it in September: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2007/09/allowed-and-clear.html
hmmm. Time doesn't fly I guess. My bad. I'm a peakclick guy more than adsense...sorry(I seem to be saying that a lot today, I think I'll lay off the posting/work and sleep)
for the allowed sites newbies: please let us know if you see a drop in earnings after signing up for it.
If you put all your sites in channels like I do then a drop in earnings is welcome because it's invalid clicks that you're getting. I don't want to risk my Adsense account because this next month is going to be my biggest payment ever and I'm quite used to my direct deposit payments every month. Once you start making more than $20-$50 per day, Adsense is a serious business and as a publisher you have to protect your interests. I'm not playing with a few cents here and there, for me Adsense and CJ are my paycheck so I don't ever have to go back to work in another crappy C++ programmer or DBA job ever again. Adsense allows me the freedom to work from my laptop and travel, enjoy life and freedom. I value that so any way I can step in and manage my own account is a blessing to me. And for everybody who is just starting and making pennies per day, I make more per month now than I did in my first two years with Adsense, but it's taken almost 3 years.
