    Hey there guys,

Here is my 5th day update:
WidgetBucks is probably is a scamm, Yestarday I've been banned with no reason, With 9 big referrals in my account and about 400$ in my balance, They accused me for fraud clicking, While i've never been fraud clicking in my entire membership with them or with any other Advertising company, The same thing happend to me with AuctionAds, As soon as I've reached a high amount of balance they accused me for something that I didn't do.

Actually the only times that I've clicked my own WidgetBucks ads is to check if they work and I've only clicked twice, Lost 400$ and 9 big referrals just for 2 clicks? Which was just for test.

Here is the E-mail that they have sended to me:

    Dear Sir or Madam,

We have detected suspicious activity that may be indicative of fraudulent click-through activity on a number of your widgets in violation of section 4 of the WidgetBucks Terms of Use. As a result, we have suspended your account pending further investigation.

For your information, here is the relevant section of our Terms of Use which you have agreed to:

"Prohibited Uses. Client shall not, and shall not authorize or encourage any third party to: (i) generate fraudulent impressions of or fraudulent clicks on any Paid Listing, including but not limited to repeated manual clicks, the use of robots or other automated query tools and/or computer generated search requests, and/or the fraudulent use of other search engine optimization services and/or software; (ii) edit, modify, filter or change the order of the information contained in any Paid Listing or Widget, or remove, obscure or minimize any Paid Listing or Widget in any way; (iii) frame any Web page accessed by an end user after clicking on any part of a Paid Listing link ("Advertiser Page"); (iv) redirect an end user away from the Advertiser Page, provide a version of the Advertiser Page different from the page an end user would access by going directly to the Advertiser Page or intersperse any content between the Paid Listing and the Advertiser Page; (v) display any Paid Listing on any error page, registration or "thank you" page (e.g. a page that thanks a user after he/she has registered with the applicable Web site), or in any email or on any Web page or any Web site that contains any pornographic, hate-related or violent or illegal content ; or (vi) act in any way that violates any Program Policies posted on the Mpire Web Site, as may be revised from time to time. Violation of any of the foregoing may result in immediate termination of this Agreement and Client's participation in the WidgetBucks program; (vii) disclose information related to the click through rates, CPCs and other statistics."

If you believe that your account has been suspended in error, please contact us at .

    Yours Sincerely,

    The WidgetBucks Team
    -------
Well as you can see, Why would someone with 400$ and 9 amazing referrals would possibly need to fraud click?

Note that I am still not accusing WidgetBucks of being a scamm site like AuctionAds, But this Bann was with no warning, Instant bann with no right reason, Or even close to any reason at all, Just an accusation of doing fraud clicks which i've never done.

I still don't think that you guys should give up on WidgetBucks though, Maybe it was just a mistake, I really can't tell.

But it made me really upset after all the time and effort I put into advertising them in diffrent blogs, forums and sites.

*I've sended them an email yestarday, They still havn't got back to me, I'll let you know if they will get back to me.

If you guys have any other questions, I'll be happy to answer here or in PM.
    Yours, Wasted.

it is also in my "my bucks" section...

you dont actually receive it until you reach $50 total malique, and then you have to wait 45 days for them to send the money.

I signed up and haven't gotten the best results. It just depends on what sort of site you are running them on. Congrats though :)

@sandyfeet and jimkarter...keep in mind that you need to reach $50 total (including the $25 at signup) for the bonus to kick in. also, without going into the economics of it, we felt it was important to offer a competitive bonus to get people trying WidgetBucks, after all, there are a number of options to choose from.

on the payment and ppc structure, all is rolling along smoothly (now in our second week) so nothing to add on that point.

Re: the contextual targeting (MerchSense), we have found, at this early stage, that it maps very well to product specific sites, and we are working on improving/expanding that to meet the need of non-product sites.

definitely appreciate the input, and as we've done with a number of areas, we'll look to make updates/adjustments as requested. - Dean

Oh! This is quite scary. While I sympathize with you, these statements confused me.

    You had said,
But see, your admission to cliking is here -
And that's the end of it. Sorry mate.

On my part, CTR is very poor despite it being the first (top most) ad unit.
I still have grunts about signup bonus credit being given later, when they do. So call it performance bonus, not signup bonus. I think widgetbucks is collecting money from advertisers instantly or in advance.

Why should they pay your for clicking your own ads? You know thats a massive offense in the ppc industry. Thats got to be the number one no no.

    Hey there,

If you won't copy only part of my sentences you would've got it right, I first say that it's PROBABLY not SURELY a scamm site and then I mention that people shouldn't give up on it because I am still not sure if it's a scamm site, Because widgetbucks havn't got back to me with an answer yet.

Also, I've only clicked my own ads TWICE to check if their system works, If you think that losing so much for just 0.70$ which was just for test is right , then I have nothing else to say.

    djutilla, Thanks for the update!!

I have earned $123, not including the bonus, so I guess that's why the bonus is showing up for me. Thanks for clarifying.

Well, I know you are upset with that, I am sorry about it too. But look, your predicaments, and clicking to test is only asking for trouble. Through out this thread there were postings about apprehensions regarding a new company amongst others. Scam or not, any PPC company would have to have a similar TOS like Google or YPN. Don't you agree? This is what I meant.

You should have taken up your case with them.
