Don't do it man. Reporting someone for a post that was innocuous and par for the course here on P&R might get you an infraction, and some cock that reported you might think that he is somehow more of a man for doing so.
You should probably rephrase that to say, "someone very much like a coxor," or "trying really hard to be a coxor," or something like that
A mental voice came to me through my codeine haze. It didn't come happily -- it came to me sounding something like this... "HEY STUPID... HEY... YOU! YES YOU! -- The system is non-deterministic. Duh. MORON." "Ohhh..."
My post was not a personal attack. Your previous posts were formulated in away that users in this forum could have mistakenly believe that you are a serving officer in the military or have been an officer previously. I simply pointed out that any such assumption will be wrong and you have never served in military (according to your own previous admission) and therefore anything that you post about military thinking, protocols,.... are simply the result of your assumption and imagination about military life and have no base in reality or personal experience in these matters. There is a certain honor and respect which comes with serving your country and I think it is wrong that people who have never done their duty, try to falsely convince others that they have served.
There is some piecemeal evidence, and lots of suspicion that these were some of the fundamental reasons why the US attacked Iraq. That school of thought basically disavows the "official reasons" as window dressing--to cover up the real reasons as follows: For about 5-7 years prior to 9/11, neocons, who strongly populated the Bush administration and the Pentagon at the time of the attack, had been searching for ways to affect significant change in the middle east. They were bothered by nations that were dramatically anti-US/anti west. They threatened the free flow of oil to the outside world, they supported various terrorist groups (like Hezbollah). There is a history of writings and commentary from these folks that argued for a dramatic change within the middle east. Once 9/11 occurred it became the underlying opportunity to effect these changes and build a case around doing effecting change in the Middle East; i.e. the threat of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, potential cooperation between these nations (primarily Iran, Iraq, and Syria) and terrorist groups. There is subsequent evidence, (after the writings and commentary from these administration members) that the Israeli's discovered in late 2001 or early 2002 that the administration and Pentagon were planning and building a case against Iraq. The Israeli's contacted the administration and tried to convey that the Iran was the more dangerous regime and if these guys wanted to effect their plans for change in the middle east they should go after Iran. The neocons specifically wanted to target Iraq, because they were confident it was smaller, weaker, provided easier access, was less popular, etc.; exactly the reasons stated above. Will we ever know if this is fact? Not unless one of the neocons that was in the administration reveals what was going on inside the administration. Evidence comes from so many snippets of pieces of information. One person in the midst of the administration who was not part of this group was Colin Powell. Powell has, through, a variety of comments and speeches in various places, painted a picture of his own limited influence within the administration and his surprise at how some decisions came about. I think it would take lots of investigation and lots of effort to pursue the varied members of the "neocon" element of the administration at that time, who were involved in foreign policy to find one who might speak to this issue. Its certainly a reasonable assumption....and if true...a really sad and scary commentary about this administration.
I am a little slow sometimes but I noticed the sticky thread was named: "Personal Attacks Will Not Be Tolerated!" I wonder if CrazyRob was trying to send a concealed message to a member around here I am thinking of a member that's just posted over 9,000 posts.
The only method which will ensure that you never hold a wrong impression is to never hold any impressions at all.
I agree. Just like in the movie Robots. I forgot that robot's name but his motto was: "Never try, never fail."
