So because Milton endorsed Ron for one job, you suddenly want to treat that as an endorsement for a different job? That's not terrible honest.

Hey, that's funny. You hit near one of the standard conspiracy theories!

    Debunked here: http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Senate/3616/flaherty9.html

On the subject of Thomas Barnett, my impression after reading an interview with him, is that he is another statist with a marxist ideology. Or in casual parlance, a neocon. He talks about world government, removing undesirable leaders by international force and the only reasonable thing he has to say, although he comes at it from a globalization standpoint, is that trade is good for reducing wars.

Now don't get me wrong. If you think America should police the world, and decide who gets democracy, who gets what kind of economy, and stamp out "undesirable" cultures, then Ron Paul is not the candidate for you. You're better off with Fred Thompson, who Nixon called "Dumb, but friendly". He's the kinda guy who would have a neocon hawk like Cheney under him, running the show from the backroom.

    Did you read the endorsement?

Back to the original reason I cited Friedman...

He's the father of the "Chicago School" of economics. Considered the heirs to the "Austrian School" of economics. As an economist, he won a Nobel Prize.

The Chicago School, like the Austrian School advocates the abolition of the Federal Reserve.

Or as you would say, Friedman is just a kook.
Right, but I'm not talking about assassination theory. I'd like you to explain why JFK suspended the Federal Reserve during wartime, and then Lyndon Johnson immediately put it back into effect. When you're knowledgeable on this subject, we can continue.

The old P&R paradigm of "troofer busting" is gone like GTech. Let's try to keep the discourse rational and honest.

you guys got to understand willie is , probably due to some personal insecurities is obsessed with war

he thinks we should go to war with everyone, and war is always the best answer to any problem. He thinks we should nuke Iran, preemptively because he scared of them. He actually thinks be invading and occupying countries is the answer to the war on terror

He will fight tooth and nail against anyone who is against using the military overseas

I'll wait to talk to you more until you've had some time to study.

Yes, we ALL know Milton Friedman.

However, just because Milton was cool and once said something kind about Grandpa Paul -- that does not make Grandpa Paul a good candidate for President.

I'll take some time to look into that particular conspiracy theory.

I find it to be the exact oppossite, all the die hard republicans I have personally talked to are backwoods fat lazy hicks who don't have a clue as to which is actually going on. The others who I know who normally vote republican were for the war and Bush UNTIL they started paying attention, now almost every single one of them is fully against Bush and the war.

The few left who support Bush and the war, and this is not lie or embelishment are fat, lazy, old hunters who seriously think Hillary Clinton is going to go after their guns..

These same fat lazy people who do not know the facts, the fact that good old Bush had the same stance on the assault weapons ban as Kerry.

Talk about misinformed ;) The middle appears to be the only trully informed, and they by far and large are not supporting Bush or this war. This doesn't say they are going to vote for Hillary, I hope to god they do not, it does however show who's actually informed and who is not.

'granted there are a few die hards who are not fat lazy old hunters, but few and far between' ;)

there are so many repub hicks in Florida its not even funny, maybe its because of the lousy public schooling down here. Do you have people who drive around with fake testicles on their trucks where you live?

I agree....I think that would sink his ship fast...I can't help but wonder what is driving McCain these days...is it still the "I was a POW" mentality? I haven't heard that played up a whole lot recently though.

I love the crazy little things people buy when the nation is so affluent that they can waste money on whatever they want.

It is truly a wonderful time that we live in! :)

isn't there a thread though that says that 41 million can't afford the basics? Yet people can afford these? hmm....that makes me wonder. Maybe we should just do away with choice.
