Make Content Look Like Adsense? Legal?

I was wondering if you can make content look like ads. At the top of my site, I have links to some of my most popular articles with Adsense near. I was thinking I could make the links look like Adsense and get higher CTR. Does that violate TOS?

People do this all the time. As far as i know, it is not against adsense TOS.

You can make ads same color but google does say you can not make any other ads look like adsense ads on your site.

I'm not talking about making ads look the same. Making content look the same.

I think the best option is to ask google support team about that. And post the answer here :D

I don't think so. I posted a simmilar question here about making contentboxes like the adsense units (with the border, round corner, and color "Ads by Google" spot). I think it would lead users to Accidental clicks, and that is never liked by Google.

repeat after me: LINKS ARE NOT CONTENT.

to give you an idea of the sensitivity of this, a recent change in the tos stipulated that you can't place ads too close to navigational links.

when you trick people into clicking on ads that they aren't interested in, it results in "smart pricing".

I'd email google and ask for sure, but I don't see why it would be a problem, sites do it all the time.

whether you make AdSense ads look like the content (prefered) or the content look like AdSense, it leads to the same thing. Its not against the TOS but Google does mention "blending the ads into your content" not the other way round.

Why you have to do that, I don't like risks with Adsnese.
You can ask the support team
