Non Approved Website Story

    Hello,

I'm Patrice Leymarie from IT'S ART Magazine (http://www.itsartmag.com). First I would like to apologize for my english, I'm french, nobody is perfect.

Anyway, our website has never been approved by google adsense for a reason we totally ignore. We've tried to ask why using the appeal form and only got any explanation except 'your website has a potential risk for our advertisers(?)'.

We're an honnest website focused on 3D/2D/ANimation/VFX... we work with other advertisers and we don't really understand why google rejects our website.

I'm wondering if anybody has experienced this and what's the solution?

As mentionned on other threads we've seen lots of illegal websites who embedded adsense and we're wondering why we don't fir Google adsense criterias?

    Any clues?

No! we're a 100% legal company. We distribute electronic magazines that we produced and host other from partners. We've a digital art gallery and our website produces test/review and interviews with major artists and VFX companies. We don't understand Google decision and we have no answers from them.

Their answers are formatted one and when we ask for a reason they say they can't say why they have denied our website. Welcome in a Kafka world.

No problem. First register with a blogger account then post any article in it. Now apply for adsense with that blogger account. It will accepted in 2 days after accepting adsense account now you can put codes in your website. I hope this solves your problem

Could be because you already have referral ads....or could be because you are endorsing already some product from competing company other than Google Adsense.

I only have blogspots but they all have Google Adsense so I don't see any reason why the big G won't allow you to have one on yours.

    Salut,

I would agree with master_06: advertisment competition could be the only issue raised by Google. Try to remove them for the meantime or simply open an alternative site without any commercial, a blog for instance.

    Bon week-end.

There are absolutly no part in the contract that stipulates you can't be part of Google programm if you've ads from another network on it.

The fact is that's a little lame to not give any reasons, just say no. Google starts to act a little omnipotent god... danger...

I suggest you check the TOS/Policies before making blanket statements like that.

    1) I've read the TOS and never seen something saying you can't run google ads at the same time other one. Please point it to me if you know where it's stipulated.

    Here's Google Policy :

Competitive Ads and Services In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads. This has been update 17 January 2007.

And BTW we don't use another contextual ads system!

    2) there are tons of websites using at the same time google ads and other ads network.

    3) Why do people always trust Google? Don't you think they could make mistakes? They always have do the right things? Remember China censorship?

    eightgr you have two problems:

    Problem #1
Where is your content? I've checked the first page and do not see any content. Google do not accept sites without content.

    Problem #2
    2) When I visit your site, my browser will not let me use the back button to go to where I previously was, and that is against the Google AdSense TOS.

You can easily fix #2 ;), but if you have a problem with writing content, just set up a blogspot blog, post some articles for about 3 days, and then present your blogspot blog to the AdSense team. You can get free articles from article directories. Once your blog is accepted, you can place AdSense on all of your sites.

I said blanket statements What you quoted above from the Policies proves that they DO have stipulations on what other ad types or formats you can have on their pages. As for your quote above...trust Google? Who said anything about trusting Google. But, if you are going to be in their program, you have to follow their rules and since it IS their program, they have every right to make the rules that they want to.

I agree with yo, but if you got no answers it's pretty hard to understand what's the reason why you're not accepted. Anyway we've signed an exclusuve contract with another publisher solutions. We will probably never understood why we've been rejected, meanwhile tons of illegal website are sponsored by Google.

Odd how sometimes they give a reason, sometimes not...must depend upon which of their crew reviews the site as to how much info he is going to give you. Best of luck in your venture with the new advertising solution

I had a look at your site, and I think I know what is going on. Even though you have a lot of content, for Google there is no content on your home page.

Google cannot see contents of pictures, flash animations, etc... It can only see pure text. If you want to know how google sees your site, go see the source of each of your pages. Whatever text you can see in the source is the only text google can see.

That is why SEO experts recommend to make sure you enter a value in the alt of pictures, for instance. Because search engines will know what is on the picture by reading the value in the alt field. If you look at the source of your home page, you will see that none of your pictures has a value in the alt field.
