I'm trying to find out which is a better quality link, a permanent Blog Roll Link or a "regular" web site link? Both or them the same page rank. I'm not sure which types of links I should be going after. Thanks
I would take the regular website link over a blog roll. I think sooner or later google might lower the value of a blog roll compared to link from a website.
Thanks rcj662 Does anyone else have any opinions on this. I would like to start trying for more weeks soon and don't want to get to many blog links if it is better to go after Web links. Also what about high PR directories? Can that be better than blogs? Thanks
I think an "in text link", like a link in a Blog Post performs better, descriptive text with a link works much better for me. Blogroll is just another term for a link list / navigation really isn't it ?
I think Blog roll links are better as Google will feel that u have not actually purchased the links. So it should pass on more PR juice.
Wouldn't it be the exact opposite of this? IE. Google demoting BlogRoll links because they are often paid or incentivised
Newton, that is just my theory as even if u don't have blog roll links, then also google can demote these links ! But I think that Blog roll links are still safer. I can be wrong
