Well Actually today when I didn't had nothing to do I thought I can check out how paypal system actually works and actually I would say more by mistake I ''hacked'' their payment system -for example If I see somewhere some guy is selling some product I can get it ''for free'' actually, I'm not talking about .html page saving and than look at the code to see where it's going , but for all their system. Since I'm paypal member for long time and I have earned pretty much using their payment system so I'm not even going to use it to steal from someone something. So what's my question- Should I Send them e-mail and tell that they have such a bug and how to fix it, or just leave it as it is? Because I found something like this for e-gold.com also- bug in their system long time ago but after I sent them e-mail telling that they need to fix it and it's huge hole in their system and explained them how to fix it they just replied me , OK!, That a$$holes even didn't said me thanks for telling it them, just one word OK. So what's your suggestion should I send them mail and explain how to fix it and hope for some reward or just leave it?
I don't think you are being clear on your post, but do the right thing, and report the issue to PayPal. Even though Egold were unthankful for your act, you still do know you did the right thing and even though some may be unthankful you did a good action and deserve respect for that. Regards, Meti
heh Just take some Page and play with it Anyway sent to paypal and explained them how to fix it hope they wont be so rude as e-gold
Is this the one where you copy the link location and remove all the bs to reveal the link? PS: I think paypal might already know this and their email/customer support staff is mostly dumb guys who have know idea whats going on..
This is interesting, a system like PayPal having such big errors. Let us know what answer do you get from them.
You should tell of what the bug consist, otherwise I can't sleep now. No, seriously. If more people know and talk about it in, the more serious PayPal will take it over and fix it. Unles its not something "really" serious, which involves accessing other peoples account.
What doe this bug involve ? sending money without authorizing the original account owner or what ? Would you please tell us what could this bug do ?
Yes excatly- You can bypass with it payment process , by it you can just get straight to exit page to which it says that payment is done and sent to seller, so by that you can buy anything ''for free'' ( even it works with SSL )
I think we should wait and see the reply from the paypal themselves. I'm sure they wont let this problem exist for long and will try their best to fix it. I hate paypal that they didn't work fast enough to get me a refund from being scammed but i dont like other people to be scammed either. so just report if you found any loophole for the better society.
