If this is true then why are so many here in the thread worried about not getting their payments.

I've just got a reply from thenewsroom, you have to fax or mail the form to them, I'm not sure what kind of form (I think w8 form?) but their support is mailing me one.

when I said "they", I meant Widgetbucks - imagine how much they're making. It covers the $25 they gave away, and then some.

My cheque has supopsedly been released last week, I'm in the UK so I'm still waiting but I'm really hoping it comes through.

Best thing to do is call them up, they will answer questions and if you have any support tickets open they will open them up and reply to them. Without phoning them I didn't get any contact, now I can e-mail a guy personally whenever I want...

I didn't get my e-mail about the W-8 form until I e-mailed them asking for it, I faxed it to them and they sent the cheque straight away.

    Fingers Crossed!

Because it's natural to worry. .... simple.

The $25 bonus, well how many webmasters are going to achieve the $50 mark ? I see a lot of people reading reports and jumping straight in - only to realise it's not a walk in the park - like many once thought.

Webmasters are having a go for one or two days and then ditching it because it wont perform or beacause of other niggling bugs, so the amount of actual bonus give aways wont be that high when you compare the amount of webmasters who will stick it out and achieve the $50, to the amount that have a go and give up (walking away).

I always think that if you can get to the payment threshhold, then $25 probably doesn't matter that much to you anyway. But if you never make any money online (i.e you won't reach the threshhold) people sign up thinking "oooh $25 maybe I will make this one work". Then they give up and they never get the bonus money...

Yeah when I started out I thought "wow look at the stats billions of searches a day, plenty of money being spent and made, piece of p155 I can make money easy online".

Everyone reads the goss and hype (associated with promising sites) then jump on board - to realise it's not that damn easy.

And there's rarely been a case of instant cash and riches (that can be shared with the masses anyway).

One thing I have noticed with widget bucks is that if you have around 3+ widgets per page then it will slow the loading of the page down quite a bit as each widget is rather large in size. Now I wonder how they will be on dial up connections.

Might give the visitor an incentive to purchase a better computer - thus creating a click :p - maybe we should be selling some super speed broadband services aswell (on the widgets).

But yes you are dead right, I have removed 1 of the 3 that I had per page, can you imagine the Blogger Blogs struggling with these puppies.

I am putting only one widget on each page. That is working fine for loading as well as CTR.
