Google gives me much more traffic than Yahoo or MSN. Why would you hate them? Because you are greedy and I want to make money selling links? Or because you are not smart enough to make money without paid links?
No, I don't hate Google. They provide some helpful tools to the internet community. And lest we forget, they are a publicly traded corporation with an obligation to work hard to maximize profits for their stockholders, not to please webmasters.
I do think Google is right about the punishment for buying and selling of links. Doesn't mean I think it's wrong to do so, or that I won't myself, but that's a good position in which they stand. They're trying to make search results better. When you buy links and point popular keywords at your site, you're pushing yourself to the top unnaturally when a better site might deserve to be at the first result more than you. I'm a bit annoyed with the PageRank, however. At first I thought they would do out with it altogether, because that would surely make some of the link sales stop since such a huge pricing factor is PageRank. However, lately they've been decreasing the PageRank of some sites and I think they're so late because they're doing updates. Google is Google, and I'm not. So honestly I have no clue what's going on with them. I think they need to get their act together with PageRank, but otherwise they're great. Go Google!
I'm a big fan of google searh engine. it save my life many times and i will continue using. they are the best.
Do many people believe companies that make billions of dollars "Do No Evil"? Of course I still believe in Santa!
hate? hate is like: I HATE George W Bush Google? I like it, unless it does not find results for what i am looking for
Well I don't love or hate it, it's just a service, Well yeah Google rocks for me only because they are sending me every month checks for over $2k , but... Again it's just a service
Now that I see so many accounts banned, I feel I depend too mutch on them. And I can't stand the fact that they own youtube. It just pisses me off.
Love or hate is too extreme. There are a lot of criticisms that could be levelled at Google, but that website barely scratches the surface of any of them. What's more, it's front page is filled with user-contributed ramblings which would look immature on the back of a schoolboy's doodle pad. Not a good start. A whole lot more research on privacy, monopoly issues, permanent cookies, corporate responsibility, MFAs, click fraud, and more is needed.
