QUESTION 1: If we use URL shortener like tinyurl.com for Adsense websites, does it violates TOS? QUESTION 2: I have a website like www.freewebs.com/my-url-is-too-lenghty which has lot of traffic. I have now registered a domain name in 50webs.com and its very short and it perfectly suits my niche. So if I now try to promote 50webs.com/bestniche, I will have to built new traffic. So what am thinking now is to REDIRECT the 50webs.com/best niche to www.freewebs.com/my-url-is-too-lengthy using the following script, <html> <script> location = "http://www.freewebs.com/my-url-is-too-lengthy"; </script> </html> Do using this script ban my Google AdSense account?
It won't ban your account to do that, but you should use a 301 redirect of you are thinking of moving our site. try: http://www.stonetemple.com/articles/301-redirects.shtml and: http://www.seobook.com/archives/002343.shtml
Its entirely legitimate for Adsense TOS. some web masters sites are also providing link shortener service. So, you do not need to worry.
No violation of TOS... so rest assured nothing wrong. However if your too lenghty site is indeed getting x no. of visitors, why don't you start promoting your new site and use existing visitors to flock to new location ie. Retain both as individual sites and make more $$$ ? Cheers GS
