Microsoft Corp has spun off Bungie Studios, creator of the blockbuster Halo video game trilogy, but said on Friday it will maintain close ties with the company and own a minority stake in it. http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,138105-c,games/article.html
Yeah, seems a bit strange that the Halo movie has also been scrapped. Sounds like Bungie have had some private problems with M$ or vise versa imo.
It seems strange, why would Microsoft let this happen if they just made so much money off Halo? That makes no sense to me.
I really hope so, it could be a hit. I think the issue is showing master chief's face Who could be that actor?
I say they just use a good physical actor and have the guy who voiced it do it, because there really is no point in showing his face. Everyone already knows him for the armor.
Any link to back that statement up? I'd be interested in reading more than what the article the OP gave. Why would Microsoft be stingy with profits? They are already worth a lot of money. I think there is a different motive that the obvious...
Won't ever happen, the PS3 was a flop if you ask me, and the controller is no where near as functional for Halo (or maybe I've just played it for too long on the Box think that a PS3 controller would work for it).
I personally think that if there is an audience they will release the movie. If they can make a profit why wouldn't they?
I'd like to see that, too. I was under the impression that it was more Bungie wanted to do other things besides the next Halo game, like they used to. Another Myth game would be nice.
They're still tied to M$ as a Microsoft publisher, and they can only make games for Microsoft. It was part of the agreement.
Maybe Microsoft wants to get out of the gaming business. There are already losing a lot of money with XBox and there going to lose more now that the Xbox is overheating.
I used a PS2 controller on my PC for halo once. It was terrible… And bungee may not have the same financial backing of Micro$oft anymore but they can give their games off to other console developers and make more $$
