    Hello

Im wondering why my CTR is always around 0.4-0.6

Please check my adsense placing, what can i do ? Should i make it stand out? The right skyscrapper makes 0 clicks, the middle pages almost 90% of them.

    Please and thank you

Try placing image ads as oppose to text ads.

Adulu, why? I cant post anymore then 3 per site. 2 middle pages 1 side banner. Middle pages works well, and IMAGES beside your ads is against TOS of google!

I think take away the starting image ad and put the adsense 336 * 280 banner. It will work perfect

I didnt mean to put images next to the ads. I mean image ads themselves.

Color of my ads, to what? The middle pages do the best, the right sidebar never gets clicks. Maybe make them grey to match the middle section a bit more? And image ads dont give pay you per click im pretty sure, just CPM. John84 sorry yea im dumb, i was really tired at the time lol.

I added image ad+ text to see if it helps at all on right sidebar

WOW i cant belive how much it has improved just from removing borders, im at 1% CTR now, i want to get around 2-5% steady though. And just making middle pages more (Big Squares) Instead of banners

A very simple thing you can do that will increase your CTR for sure is to make your backround a light color. The darker the background the less is your CTR. Try a white background and you will see.

You can blend it our make it stand out, both works but at the same time depends on where you place it. Just make your background as well as you whole site brighter and watch some results.

Has anyone else heard this before? I've read a lot of forums and never heard this advice. What is the reason a lighter background has a better click through rate?
