Need Web Site Highly Ranked

I run an small web design company i manage to get most of my client web page highly rank for there selective keywords and my site http://www.sonicwebdesign.co.uk which is an web design site which is very very competive. I need my site to be highly ranked within my local area citys which are derby and leicester england. Any advice to get my web site 1st page ranking

Ditch the flash for text. Search engines can't read it.

Make sure you mention "Derby" and "Leicester" in your pages frequently. I'd put it in your title as well.

If your pagerank is higher than 3, I'd sell some secure links to help fund the links you should purchase. MAKE SURE you sell the links with a secure, undetectable system.

For starters you could make some changes to your meta title (index.html), so it uses the keywords in the right sequence. Then modify your description tag to include the range of targeted keywords.

Changing your sig link to "web design derby" would help too ;-)

Onpage and offpage optimization are important.

Onpage optimization:

1. Work on the meta-tags to include your targeted keywords in the meta-keywords, meta-description and title for specific web pages that are targeting different keywords.

2. Ensure a keyword density of above 1%

3. Create unique and quality content so that the search engines love them and rank them well. There are some talks about Google measuring the time visitors spend on each page. So in other words, content relevant to visitors would attract a longer viewing time.

Offpage optimization:

1. Build links from quality and authority sites. Target relevant sites. If you are eyeing specific locations, try to exchange links with location-specific sites. Post regularly in location-specific sites. Likewise, do the same for theme-specific sites.

2. Engage in the following link building activities:

Article Marketing
Social Bookmarking
RSS Submission
Directory submissions
Blogging
Comment Posting
Forum Posting

 

If you need backlinks, you can do directory submissions for free and if you get an article you can also submit it to directories, check out directorycritic for the directories. Or you could pay someone on DP for these services.
