2 New Designs - Which Should I Use For My Site?

Hey Everybody,

I currently run/own http://www.400fonts.com. As you can see the design is pretty bad. I'm now making V2 of the site and I have two designs I made to choose from, both which are much better than the original.

Design #1:

This design is very professional I think and certainly looks very good. (Not coded properly yet, obviously).

Design #2:
http://www.400fonts.com/v22/
I haven't even coded this one yet. Personally I prefer the first one but I like this one to because it's more of a laid back design and has a nice color scheme.

Please tell me which one you like more. I would very much appreciate your opinion on your chosen design as to whether you think it is good enough and looks as good as other well established font sites e.g. www.1001fonts.com, www.dafont.com.

Thanks Guys! I'm hoping to pick the design I use very soon and setup V2 with all it's new features within the next 48 hours and then promote my site like crazy.

 

I say go for design1..
but still i feel that there is many roam for improvement...

 

v21 , the colors are more easy to read .

Go for design 1, it's still got a lot of work need doing to it but it's better than the rest.

What sort of changes need to be made? I really want it to be good enough that people say its as good as www.1001fonts.com.

Everyone so far has said #1 (I've posted on other forums).

Now that I've chosen #1 my goal is to get it as good as http://www.1001fonts.com. Please tell me how close it is to being as good as that and what changes should be made to make it as good. Maybe it's already as good? Or maybe you don't think it can be.

Thanks green77! I've had a few people say they like the design as much as any other font site so I'm very happy. I'm just going to make the background a little less bright and get a brandable logo.

Over this and a few other forums I've had so many great suggestions for my site and I've got a lot of new features to add. I'm really looking forward to adding them in.

V1 looks quite nice to me.

 

Desing 1 -> nice desing. I like this.
Desing 2 -> Link broken.

 

I like the first design a lot.. looks really good but as mentioned above the link to your second design is broken..

I removed link #2 from my server because I decided to use #1.

The first one is OK. I didn't see the second one.

 

Ok well I'm a bit late but I did really like hwat you had done, althought it's difficult to say without comparing the two.

 

I would go for design 1 also - good stuff

 

Design #1 has been integrated into the site now. Along with new features.
