Google results Fluctuating

just when i search for some Keywords last week it shows around 6 million results but now it showing 600 Thousand results , but keyword ranking remains the same
why it is fluctuating

Does anybody knows why this is happening

 

I can confirm some really strange fluctuations happenend. Before 48h I was ranking 1st on several keywords (after 2 months of hard seo/sem work) and now I completely disappeared from the serp's (not banned, but just placed really bad). I just hope it'll be good again soon..

 

I've had a similar thing happen on two sites (6 months old), their sectors are very competitive, but they were listing on page 2 and 3 around a month ago, now they are all over the place.

Hope it all settles soon so I can asses what the true positioning

 

ohh, i m also facing same result here on my pc, keyword competition is going to decrease for all of the keywords. i think some big changes are going on.. i hope it will be fix soon.

 

it depends on the results of different data centres so ranking changes very fast

 

I am not agree with you, i think u misinterpret the question we are not talking about search ranking. here discussion is going about competition.

 

In August I was ranking from place #7 to up #20 for about 8,9 keywords. In September my ranking started increasing at place #1 to #15 for these keywords. Yesterday it dropped at #300 up to #600 !!!

What is the problem?

 

It is because by using black hat system many sites placed in google search engine. Now google caught them and deleting those sites. For some main keywords many chinese virus sites occupies top 10 position. Now google had find out them and slowly deleting them all.

 

My boy this is always happening as this is what we call as Google Dance, otherwise, there will be no use for optimizing if this strange fluctuations will not happen. Come take a look after a week or two and you will have your site back on where it left, if you just be patient and continue what you are doing.

 

Don't be so surprise with Google just continue optimization of your site.

 

I have the feeling there is a major update in how google ranks sites and values pagerank for the websites ... that is why all sorts of strange things happen lately

 

Try to clear your cookies first and search it again....see what happen.

OH the Chinese sites aren't coming up anymore? Can someone verify this?
