Deleted Website - No Backups

My websites were deleted from my web host's server, and neither my web host or I have relevant backups. Do you know of any way I might be able to retrieve some of the content? The only two methods I have tried so far are looking up my sites on archive.org and trying to find a Google cached image of sone of my sites' pages.

You host doesn't have backups?...that's not a very good host...

have you checked to see possibly if this host is a reseller?...if so...possibly their host (the 'real' host) has backups?...

Yikes, that's why I back up all my important files...

Why doesn't your host have a backup? Where did you host your sites at?

I took a break from Web Design several months ago because I started playing WoW on a 10 day trial and became addicted to the game, so I stopped maintaining my websites and checking my email. My Hostgator account was terminated because I wasn't paying my monthly bills (I thought they were being deducted from my credit card), and didn't read their warning emails. I emailed their technical support recently and they said that they delete the backups when they close a customer's account. I reopened my Hostgator account because I had found them to be a good, cheap host and I was satisfied with their service.

This happened to me and I have had success going to the cached pages
and then going 'View' then 'Source' to get the source code. Then cut and paste it (select all) and put it on an index.html notepad page and re-upload it.
You can also right click on the images to retrieve your pictures. It takes a while if you have a lot of pages but it works.
