5% CTR is high?

I bought a new website yesterday and after I placed adsense on it for one day, it has 3,623page views and 190 clicks. Is that normal? Will it trigger Google to suspend my account? It really irritates me because my other site is getting like 0.5% - 1% ctr while this new one is getting so high ctr. Is it illegal to put images left of the ad like

 

Those images next to the ads is against the TOS.

But 5% CTR is low.

 

Did the site have its adsense account running when you purchased?

I would edit those images with a spacer image between them and the ads or you will be really mad when they ban your adsense account.

 

I removed the image now and it makes me feel alot better with the "5% ctr is low" .

 

I wouldn't say 5% was that low actually - it's a pretty normal kind of figure. Acceptable.

 

Image beside ads is against AdSense's TOS. Take it off or risk your account to be banned. For 5% of CTR, it's fine for sure, although it's still higher than mine as mine is way too low.

You did the right thing taking away those images.
5% is hmmm Is a Good CTR, Actually many publishers like me daily think new strategies to achieve such a CTR. But as long as it is from Organic traffic and no Click on my ads campaigne I guess it is fine.

 

A spacer image will not suffice. ANY image aligned next to an ad (deceptive) is strictly against the TOS.

Images are not ok with adsense TOS, but CTR is not hight at all. I usually have around 15-20%

 

The CTR is good, you can have 5, 10, 20, 40, anyway, but as said here, you will have problem with Google, because you are using images next your adsense blocks...

 

5% is low to average. You can have even 50% CTR as long as your are legitimate and converting for advertisers.

 

I got the site yesterday and just replaced the code. I took the image down after the first second someone said it is illegal.

 

The way I look at it is as long as you are not violating the TOS then there is nothing to worry about.

My CTR is around 10%, and neither Google nor advertisers are complaining about it

 

5% is a good figure depending on the niche.

Images next to ads however are frowned upon, i'd recommend removing them!
