So being new to this all, I thought I would see what the general consensus on WWE is. I know that it is done for our entertainment only, but do any of you think that any of the injuries are actually real? Are the personalities and conflicts real or all a put on. I enjoy watching wrestling, but if they put themselves in harm way is it really worth the money they are making?
Their intention is probably to not make the injuries real but there have been real injuries on the shows!!! I'm not a huge fan nor do I know a lot about it but didn't someone die from one of these stunts a few years ago?
I've never understood why people like watching wrestling. I remember being around 10 and all my mates talking about wrestling and me thinking why do you get so excited by it. I watched it once and never watched it again. I think the fact that it is fake makes it even less of a bore!
Yes I think It's all for show these days..All that posturing and costumes. But the audiences seem to get really involved in the show.
Ask any non wrestling fan about wrestling and without a shadow of doubt they'll say it's fake. Ask any wrestling enthusiast or expert about wrestling and they'll respond with an "It's fake but...," umming and arring because they have to once again explain that it's predetermined, but it hurts. I'm personally not happy with calling wrestling fake whatsoever. I hate to regurgitate this, but looking at the Benoit tragedy and the death of Eddie Guerrero wrestling isn't fake, it's painfully real. Real to the deceased wrestler's friends, their family and to an accepting portion of wrestling's followers.
In wrestling as with every other physical sport, whether real or not always has the probability of being injured. In WWE some of the injuries there are very real and some has even died from it.
Its all a part of the entertainment industry. Lets say its an extension of Hollywood. Wrestling brings in a lot of money. A lot of eyeballs. Agreed that the wrestlers have to undergo a lot of physical torture. But they are professionals and are making huge bucks. Its a 'professional hazard' as I would put it. As long as the fans are paying for their seats, the wrestlers don't mind a few broken bones, the ladies are ready to bare albeit in bits and parts, I see no problem with wrestling. Personally though, I am not a huge fan. It is highly melodramatic.
Don't you see WWE in exposed tv show? They feature the real story behind WWE.. All of it was scripted and fake. They make used of sound effects for it to become real in the eyes of audience..
What's next? Do they use real bullets in the movies? The popularity of wrestling and Nascar racing is a great source of entertainment (to the rest of the world watching the US watch it).
It IS just faked entertainment - the same as when you see a stunt man apparently being blown up in a car in a movie. But like for stuntmen accidents can and do happen. My wife's a nurse and one of her patients is an ex-wrestler who has a bad spinal injury caused when he landed badly.
It's all acting. WWE is to the trailer park as the opera is to Park Avenue. Someone was killed during an accident once, and many wrestlers have died young due to health problems related to steroid abuse.
Thats true... That's why you see lots of dramas in WWE. They all over-act which proves that it is all pre-planned and fake.
I am also a big fan of WWE. And I know there is lot of dramas and every thing is pre-planned, but I think all the injuries are real
yeah they accidental injure are real but most of the time those are just fake right? I hardly will watch Westling but my friend does like it so I have to wathc with him.
I'm a fan of hhh. I love the bad boys. Yes..it is all scripted..but injuries are real and do occur on a regular basis.
Some of the injuries are real. I admit, but most of them aren't. Do you think anyone could survive after Triple H smacks someone's head with his hammer? Or tell me if you believed in the buried alive match of Undertaker
