First of all you tell me how many pages do you want in your website because cost is totally depend on web pages anyway I recently came across a site called tiptopwebsite.com that provides opportunity to create own website with good packages. You can get a complete website for only $1. Hope this will help you.

    Hey there,

Yeah, it really does depend on what you need..

For instance, are you creating a static website or dynamic website? If it is dynamic, you are going to need a dynamic programming language on the server such as PHP, coldfusion, or ASP. If it is dynamic, you are probably going to need a database as well - and there are quite a few options there.

From my experience, I love crystaltech.com. However, recently I have been trying out dailyrazor.com because they offer a nice coldfusion service.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

I will personally paid for a cheap reseller account, or from godaddy(godaddy.com) a dedicated server. You never have too much, and you will have more control over stuff. I don't like does cheap hosting companies.

A friend of mine uses E2(eleven2.com - So far no complaints), other use other companies. My best advice:

Read all of them check, compare, place question to there support and sales. Measure the time they take to respond, how understandable was the answer.

Ask for dedicated ip, ask for extra stuff, check everything. The more information you get the best solution you will get.

    That would be my advice.

You can find some good hosting companies here - web hosting companies

If your site is just one page then you don't necessarily need a domain and host.
For instance hubpages.com lets you create your own page for free. And of course there's always blogspot.com.
