No, adsense and adwords queries are almost always answered within a day in my experience (although the answer is not always very helpful) - see below:- (NB - Does anyone have any objections to me pointing them in the direction of this thread?) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Jordan, Thank you for your email. I understand that you are concerned about a decline in your earnings and I know that this can be frustrating. It is common for earnings to fluctuate significantly over time. Since a number of factors influence earnings, it is difficult for me to pinpoint exactly why your earnings might have declined. These factors include, for instance, changes in ad inventory, fluctuations in the cost-per-click or cost-per-thousand-impressions of the ads appearing on your site and your users' click-through selections. We are always working to improve monetisation for our publishers. In order to help our engineering team achieve this goal, I will be happy to pass along any suggestions or feedback that you have. We hope that over time you find that your earnings increase to levels that you are happy with. In the short term, you may wish to look at our Optimisation Tips page at https://www.google.com/adsense/tips. By experimenting with a few simple changes, you may find that you are able to significantly improve the performance of your ads. For additional questions, I'd encourage you to visit the AdSense Help Centre ( http://www.google.com/adsense_help ), our complete resource centre for all AdSense topics. Alternatively, feel free to post your question on the forum just for AdSense publishers: the AdSense Help Group ( http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help ). Date: Wed, 10 Oct 2007 15:35:59 +0100 Can you shed any light on why earnings are approx 40% of what they used to (over the last 3 weeks) even though I have more or less the same number of page views / clicks? Thanks.
Jordan The reason I asked if you were kidding is due to the fact that I knew you, or anyone else who would think to write, was going to receive the very form reply letter, you have received. Peace!
Interesting ... I have exactly the opposite, my earnings went to double from July to September. Well I optimized a lot on my page last 2 month and getting like 50% more clicks and impressions then in juli, and my overall eCPM was little above 1$. Maybe it is the kind of ads which make the difference, my site is mainly interesting for video games, games and german language.
I've seen revenue decrease by about 30% in the past couple of weeks, but I've seen a similar drop in traffic, so no smart-pricing yet for me (knock on wood).
I'm having another good day. Three in a row. again, not what I normally made but not 7 bucks either. Something has definitely changed. has anyone tried the new upgraded 2.0 ads? I noticed that MFA sites that generate traffic from adwords are not allowed. I think that may be google's way of saying publishers and advertisers have had enough.
I agree with you bro. Last 3 days were 'somewhat' OK. Nothing phenomenal. http://www.fuckedgoogle.com/googinfo/2007/10/hiring-and-spen.html Just read the above article. Provides some great insight.
I'm at least into the mid twenties today. lately I've been lucky to see 8 bucks. Momma ain't gonna like me this month. She'll probably take the kids and find someone who's making money LOL
ok i thought something went wrong with my sites. I was on my way to hitting my $30 a day goal and now today it seems i might not even crack $5 all this time and energy and to see the results just evaporate not cool man
I think Ive been hit with smart pricing also!! I got 8-28 cents a click up until yesterday, and today Im getting 2-3 cents after I started my adword campaigns. Where is a good place to get a explanation of smart pricing?
Man I just signed up for adsence . Don't tell me they are about to stat paying less. Hope this is temporary.
