I got 3 PR6 Links yesterday and my 3rd page SERP ranking has not improved. Why is this, anyone have any idea? I could have got a lot more high PR links but decided a few a day would be steady. Anyone know?
It takes many days, or even weeks for Google to index those links. In addition, Google gives more weight to links that have been in place for a longer period of time. You won't, nor should you, receive instant SERP increases for new links.
Yeah I would expect timings to be a week or 3 months. There are too many factors to tell you an exact time.
You are joking right? You buy 3 links and think your rankings are going to improve the next day? If it were that easy and that quick, everybody would be #1. /*tom*/
You also have to take in consideration how many outbound links are on that page, but one day is two early, look more for 5-7 days at min.
if people saw serp changes the next day after link purchase, everyone would go crazy buying links lol
i strongly agree with the fake pagerank article but i disagree with the no follow(no follow have less benefits for your site than do follow)
You gotta wait for G to pick em up and give you the credit. It can take some days to months to see a boost in the SERP !!
Google will take long time to notice your links why means some of the backlinks are not constant. Today it will be there and if you check tomorrow means it will not be there.
It usually takes a month or so for the changes to reflect. And getting links on 3 pages may not have as big of an effect as you think.
I think most what is said is true. I remember awhile back i submitted to around 800 directories for my site, and around 3 weeks later i got a pretty good jump in my serps.
No people there was action. Google rankings were updated. I went from middle of page 3, to the middle of page 5. I guess these links were worth it? not. Any reason why this happened. All sports related and high pr links??
Google needs to pickup and understand the links, it then adds filters to the links (ie if its a blog comment, it is probably spam) thus it gives more weight dependant on where the link is posted, also many spammers get huge amount of links all around the web. So they have a weight over time algorithm i believe. So basically: * If its a quality link * Its a relevant link * It uses your anchor text If all of the above, you should see some improvement within a month!
Oh common man you should know better than that. Wait for like 1-2 weeks, it takes about that long to index your inbound links.
gettycash, that is a completely different topic! PR updates every few months, and is determined by the relativity and pagerank of the websites linking to you against your outgoing links (with other filters of course).
I think links are similar to your credit, get a few loans with little credit and it goes down, then you start paying and building more credit and it starts to stabilize and get better. That's what I figure happens with links, so when you get some new links (lots of links fast, or maybe even a few) you may notice a drop reflecting a big change in your links, but as they mature they will hold more value.
