Florida is pretty backwards, I think. I mean, come on...how can that be a law?

I guess maybe at the heart of the law they are trying to do something positive, but I have no idea how anything positive can come out of a law that prohibits someone from giving food to the homeless.

Civil disobedience... Hit with a hard hammer, which is a shame. He is trying to help people out, he isn't being a scofflaw, go bust them, not him.

Who does this guy think he is? It's the governments job to take from those that have to give to those that don't (minus a small stipend to maintain the massive bureaucracy). How dare this guy scab on the Welfare Check and Food Stamp Printers Union!?! :D:rolleyes:

That's stupid. I'd still feed the homeless if it meant going to jail. It's worth it.

The justice system is getting out of hand , the laws are becoming more ridiculously insane and the laws that cause outcry from the public (when bought to the attention of the public) are usually acceptable to society and don't need a law. Another chance for the government to minimize freedom instead of honoring it in such case as this.

That is great news that he was cleared. It is really sad when we punish people for helping others. What is the world comming to?

I'm glad to see he was set free from charges, but I'm not sure how much of a "public outcry" there was.

    Edit:

    Land of the free???

That is good he was cleared, but he should of never been suspected of ANYTHING, he is trying to help, not doing anything destructive. The law can't be a straight line, it needs to be bendable, They try catch easy bate, go catch and investigate bank robbers or murders!
