Well, adnan said, that if i review his directory www.linkspub.com it might make him famous somehow :D , but i am sure after reading the not so great review he would be disappointed.

Please support this project by linking to your reviews or the site itself, its a great motivator for myself to continue bringing out reviews for directories.

    Thanks

And Note: Sorry i cannot sugar quote my reviews, so if you interested in review make sure your directory is top notch to expect good nice review, like for indiecoffehouse and remember onces a review is posted it will not be removed. So, fix your directories before requesting for reviews, seems like recently someone asked for their directory review to be removed, cause i brought to their attention that a directory does not look great with a sedo sale going on for the domain. Its review can be found at IEVU Review

Thanks a million paidhosting for your kind review.

A few things I would like to point out to you and if you want you may wish to correct them on your review.

Well were both free & paid.

We actually have a very minimal amount of advertising, maybe 12 ads in the entire site.

What you see on the homepage are Business Cards and we have mentioned them on our submit site page. This is a Linkspub Exclusive innovation and our submitters love that feature to death cause it's not available on any other directory out there.

Basically for our paid submitters, we make graphic business cards for their business which includes a short description, picture of their site and url. That business card is rotated on our homepage using our proprietary rotation engine which we developed.

These are not ads or adverts but just an added feature which we thought would bring more traffic to the sites listed in our directory.

This is one of the added features which submitters get and we don't charge anything extra for this.

We've tried to clearly label these and if you look on the cards we mention the words 'Business Listed in Linkspub' along with the category where the viewer can find that listing.

This is deliberate as we would like our searchers to go to the site which they searched for rather then to land back on our site. We thought this would be a good way for the sites listed in Linkspub to get some exposure from us. And I think they are enjoying that exposure cause our daily searches are increasing.

I think you've got our Alexa Rank mixed up with somebody elses. On your site it says 859,073 while in actuality it's 113,161. You can verify this here http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=linkspub.com/

Most people which come to our site Linkspub, meaning our prime visitors are business searchers, looking for businesses and business owners looking for extra exposure for their business.

That's pretty much what we specialize in and our business model.

Again, thank you very much for reviewing my site.

    take care

the business cards, adverts etc and crap like this

Just make me wanna leave. I have to scroll 50% down the site to actually see anything useful. Why would anyone care about seeing their IP or being reminded what country they come from??

I'm sorry you don't like it Mikey, but apparently alot of other people like our directory as we know our visitor best.

If you feel there's a feature that you would like to suggest to us, plz do so and we will add it into Linkspub in our never ending quest to build one of the best and most useful resources on the web.

Sorry adnan bhai, if you did not like the review, its just that i am annoyed by directories with too many ads, just like people are annoyed by me and my reviews at times http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=509574, like for example www.kingbloom.com mia's directory too, i reviewed it and expressed the same . Here is the review i did way back although mia did not change anything but thats his personal preferences :D, he is more into webhosting than directories anyways. http://www.webdirectoryreviews.com/king-bloom-directory-review-08-20/

But sorry about the alexa rank , you are right got it from another site, it takes me 30-40 mins to just make the pages, and extra mins. to do the reviews :( Will fix it now, anything else that needs fixing , other than the review itself :p

By the way if directory is free, its bound to have both free and paid links thats obvious these days, example dmoz too lol

By the way adnan feel free to comment on the blog itself clarifying your situation as i doubt i will link back to this thread on the blog post and visitors might not get the insight of your situation.

    @mikey
Sorry mikey i am ESL as bobby told me and i realized soon enough !!

Actually I really appreciated your review paidhosting.

It's always nice to view opinions of others. That helps us to further improve and make our site more useful.

And that's what it's all about right. How useful a site is to the visitor.

That is correct sites should be made for others not yourself or your pockets. Ads on any site make it look ugly example. www.h-log.com , but he you gotta make money too right and yet keep site user friendly !
