Who here has used SEO Software or is currently using it?
I'm trying out IBP and ARELIS 9.7.1 right now and so far it looks neat.
Anyone had any success with any SEO programs?

I've tried both of them and several others. I believe that both are some of the very best SEO programs you could find. Although more expert SEOs will find it not sufficient enough.

MAC version is quite hard to find. Use web based services. Some are even free.

seo software can make your site over optimize and block your site from google.

so don't over relay at this kinds of software.

over optimize? The software would not be correct if this is the case. If software gets updates constantly, how do you figure it will over optimize? I am just curious, can you elaborate on this?

Those two programs are absolutely worthless. IBP places way too much emphasis on meta tags, keyword density...criteria that I think the Search Engines have evolved beyond.....Arelis?...you are better off searching for sites manually and sending personalized emails to each link partner.....I can tell which of those automated emails were sent by Arelis and if they make it pass my spam filter I just delete it.

Ehh IBP uses Wordtracker, Google, and Competitor Sites to generate you a list of keywords. Of course I don't use all the keywords but it's a good research all in one tool..

Thank you for saying it out loud! Both are "the best" in this seo industry but they are still pretty worthless to me. I've even had the thought to create a similar copy and sell it for $1.

Because both are using their own criteria to judge if a website is optimized or not or over-optimized. Google and friends use relative criteria to get the average optimized "number". If top 20 of your competitors are not optimized and you are optimized than you are over optimized.

It sounds like: you install SEO software and than it hijacks all your sites and does everything it wants to them :D

I really believe that people who decide to use software know what they are doing and understand that software will not work instead of them. It just help to save time needed for monotonous work and create reports.

    Never turn your brains off!

The software I use is Web CEO. And I know that it will not make my pages â„– 1. And no software will do! Web CEO helps me to check my rankings and to see changes in them. Then I analyze my statistics (using WebCEO's HitLens) and try to find out why the changes happened. Also I analyze backlinks. And create reports for my clients (and share them also with the help of WebCEO). When I launch a new site I check it for broken links and update to FTP also with WebCEO.

Web CEO is my right hand. And I can not live without it. But I never let it be in command of my brains :)

Stay away from softwares, they are junk and never work. Put the time in and do things manually, you will thank yourself later on down the road!
