Hello my site gamerslore.com keeps going down in SERPS, all i do is link build, back links, etc. I dont understand how its happening? It was 72th in my MAIN niche keyword, gaming news, but now down to 90-100 , what the hell.. Please help Thanks
I thought I recovered from my Google dance 2 days ago, but today seems really bad. I know my site is strong, so I just need to wait it out... good thing I have a lot of returning visitors!
gamerslore.com is only a couple of months old. Your initial good rankings were what we used to call The Freshbot Effect many years ago. Its a practice Google seems to have revived recently where they give new sites a temporary rankings boost - presumably to help them garner users and thereby links. Just keep working on adding fresh, original content and getting links from other sites whose main topic is related to yours.
google is developing a new algo for paid links and they are trying the different combination of this algo. in my opinion, the reason of that big change of the serp is that
Good morning ! I'm glad people are noticing all of this right now ... Phew! I think Google started right from Japan and it's working its way towards you ! He he he he! (evil grin)
Its weird it keeps going down slowly place by place, and im building links like crazy here, tags are fine, adding inline tags on posts, update daily of course, get tons of traffic per day. im lost! i have over 1600 backlinks google says to
Well its good your doing something to get it back up. But try not to get too many backlinks in one day google might notice this. In the longrun it will probaly pay off for you.
I'm not sure Google necessarily cares. This would remove the positive SERP gain from the Slashdot/Digg/Etc effects. I've only experienced better SERPs when I've received a great deal of backlinks after getting blog attention from being placed on one of those sites. Do you have evidence to the contrary or are you just guessing?
Its just speculation ive seen over the past, alot of people say google will think your getting the links falsely if they notice suddenly you get 50 backlinks in one day. But no there is no hard evidence in it.. Really its up to the user if they want to get alot in one day or spread it out over time. If you do it over time it looks more natural.
That's normal. You site is lucky because out of millions of competitor, your site is still in top 100. Continue to build links if you want your site to be in top 10.
Yea gaming news is a hard keyword, well atleast i think it is! 84th now, guess it was just a little blip
It might help if you changed your page title to "gaming news" and put that keyword somewhere on your page. I'm on the first page for "Ways to Earn Money" and that's a much more comptitive keyword. Maybe you should look at my site and see why. I'm also first page for "Best Affiliate Programs" and "Dog Humour" amongst others. You're making one simple mistake and that's your site title. Pick one keyword or phrase and make that your title and whenever you link, use your "gaming news" as your anchor text.
As rightly pointed out. Be patient, keep churning out fresh, original content and keep building your backlinks. Eventually these things will pay off
I will said do some press releases. WebWire (webwire.com) is cheap only 9.99 and is really effective. After 1 hour I saw this release capture top 10 for my niche keyword and within days my site started to grab top positions. And for only 1 month online is getting over 700+ visitors. Keep optimizing, keep working on it. Do some press release. Don't stop. Just keep looking for that little extra boost.
Sorry, Yes per month in this case September. This month October is almost in the 500. So I expect a duplication of traffic for the 2nd month. I am not counting the last 2 weeks of August since is what I call the show and tell weeks. Publishing, linking, Press release, etc. And this is all unique visitors on a local market (state). Some people consider the local market harder some other don't. I personally think is harder since I have to compete with Newspapers, Magazines, and other sources that has been online for a couple of years. Not bad (I think) getting 1 to 2 registrations per day...
