Dig or stumble what is best?

I have paid for a set of stumbles on my site and got a bit of traffic, another url I got loads. Is Digg good if I pay someone to do 20 Diggs. Are Diggs listed in search engine?

    Thanks

neither are, to my knowledge. Personally I'd rather get stumbles, but both are poorly converting traffic methods

Digg has done well for me. Last friday it brought me 2.5k visitors - i wasn't even front page material :)

The trouble for paying for either, or even exchanging either, can get you and your site banned from the programs, as paid links on both are against their policies.

Stumble is rel="nofollow" but does seem to effect SERP (just not PR). It also seems to give better traffic for non-tech / non-webmaster type sites. For tech sites it's really a toss up on which is better.

Though, overall both can come in handy for promotion, indexing, and other things a good webmaster should be concerned about. Just don't get overly concerned, as while the traffic is relevant making it good quality, it's at the very bottom of the "good" line as the average stay is very short, and rarely does it convert.

Yea but whats your bounce rate on that traffic?

Lots of visitors mean nothing if all they view is that one page and do nothing else ....

I'd think you can do well on SERPs with DIGG...

yeah bounce rate can be a problem. I need a net to catch them all! :D

Still, not bad for a site that hasn't been advertised, and begun only over a week ago. (The site got re-made). It's been amazing :)

I prefer stumbles aswell. But if you pay for stumbles and don't get much traffic then it's not the persons fault where you gave the money to. It's actually caused because your url that you gave him/her is not stickly / viral enough to make others went to also give it a thumbs up.

I would have to say digg because people are actually interested in reading the article (most), unlike stumble: who are people who just check out sites 'cause they're bored (again, in general)

I like Digg because it seems to be used by more normal people (and not just nerds like us) than stumble... I can safely say that I don't know any non-IT people that use stumble... depends what niche you're going for I suppose?

I think Digg and Stumble are both good for traffic. Digg is fast, but Stumble can slowly bring traffic in for a month or so. 20 Diggs won't do much though. Others are right about low conversion rates to regular readers also. If that's what you want, some paid blog reviews might be better.

I wouldn't try to manipulate these. As said above, you run the risk of being banned.

Digg can definitely give you huge traffic in a short period of time if you manage to get to the front page, but that will require quite a bit of diggs to achieve that.

StumbleUpon + digg + del.icio.us, this combination will work nice IMO. :)

Well if you want instant short term traffic then digg is very good because it will bring loads of traffic till about a day or two after you posted your story adn got diggs but it doesn't bring much traffic after that.

Whereas stumble upon is brilliant for long term traffic if you have lots of stumbles then it is going to bring traffic over a period of time i mean not term which is unlike digg. So if you want short term traffic then go for digg whereas stumble upon is good for long term.
